Beautiful campus

A great variety of building types to see - easy campus to maneuver on foot. We were there on a snowy/icy day, but the views were amazing

The location is amazing, by the ocean, full of academic attractions and the beach. You must visit it at least a full day.

What a fabulous campus. We prearranged a tour and had an excellent tour guide. Beautiful grounds and so many areas for quiet study outside. Loved it.

Allow me to put this review in context. I am an American architecture buff who has visited or attended some of the loveliest, charming, and historic U.S. colleges: Princeton, Johns Hopkins, the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colgate, Harvard, Duke, the University of Virginia, etc. Due to the buildings UBC has decided to build, it would never make a list... The only reason to go out to the University is to check out the campus if you are applying to university there. Unfortunate that the campus does not have buildings that have inspiring architecture. The is a botanical garden in the area but I don't think of it as being part of the university and cannot comment on it.

We enjoyed the Beatty centre, Japanese gardens and the Rose garden. The university is large, well-laid out and beautifully designed. There is signage for directions. The younger people were helpful. Food is not great but there were good restaurants once we left the university. Also, it is dog friendly.

One of the best environment for higher education - with a beautiful rose garden, Japanese garden, and the museum of Anthropolgy right next to each other.

This was presented as a must do in Vancouver, well on a rainy day and from the car it is pretty much just a campus. Yes it is a massive campus with definitely great buildings and infrastructure but does it worth to stop there? Not sure

Our visit for college went like this, arrive, assess and leave. Too big for her. Lots of people and more of a modern feel. Lovely if you like that but just not for us!

UBC is a beautiful campus, and a wonderful educational institution. During visits, I have used their recreation facilities, including the Bird Coop, and Aquatic Center. Top notch facilities. Their campus reminds me of a grand scale Boston College. Just love it.
