I contacted BC Grand Tours at the last minute. Gabriel (Gabby) responded very quickly and had no problem giving us a shorter 3 hour tour instead of the usual 5. He picked us up from YVR right on time and we were off to explore Vancouver B C. He gave us an excellent overview of this beautiful city. He was knowledgeable and kind. We drove the through many neighborhoods and parks. We were in very good hands and I would recommend him and his tour company! Thank you, Gabby.

Perfect day in Vancouver with Gabby! We ended our 16 day tour of Alaska and Canada in Vancouver with a private full day tour with Gabby and BC Grand Tours. Gabby was the perfect blend of a tour guide and host. His love for the city and surrounding area is evident as he shares both historical and cultural stories with his guests.

In every step of the planning process, Gabby was responsive and helpful. He contacted us the morning of to ensure we knew where to meet him. During our tour Gabby was flexible in timing to allow us to spend more or less time at various attractions. We are so pleased with our day with Gabby and would highly recommend him for a future tour in Vancouver!

Highly recommend! We had a marvelous tour with Gabby from pick up at the Vancouver cruise port to drop off at our Vancouver hotel. Gabby's communication was great, before, as we were meeting, and while we were on tour. Our focus was the Butchart Gardens, having High Tea and seeing the city. Gabby's suggestions for timing and route worked out perfectly allowing sufficient time in the beautiful gardens and to have tea there (much less $$ than Fairmont and with a beautiful view). We then had a personal tour of the city going by Government House and Park, Craigdarroch Castle, China Town, Fairmont, and Parliament Buildings and Marina. The ferry ride both ways was very scenic and allowing us to see orca on the return trip.

You do yourself a disservice, if you do not take the tours with Gabriel. We had a group of 3 . Gabriel is customer service excellence, proficient in his History and knowledge of Squamish, Whistler and Vancouver. He is passionate and compassionate and the best Ambassador British Columbia could ever have.

We were only in Vancouver for a few days and traveling as a single women with teenage daughters I try to make my vacations are easy as possible. Gabriel made it easy! He arrived with bottled waters for us all. He was very knowledgeable about Vancouver. He took us all over and it style. It was so nice to be driven around and given time to explore. Not once did Gabriel make us feel rushed. Just a few of the places we visited was Queen Elizabeth Park, Granville market, Stanley park. Also being from the SF area we really appreciated all the knowledge he had about the various bridges in the area! You would be smart to book a tour with Gabriel. You won’t be sorry!

Gabi had been very helpful from the beginning and helped us plan our 4-hr private tour in Vancouver. He was quick to respond to any of your questions, and goes the extra mile to make sure that you are satisfied with your tour. We had two toddlers with us and he was thoughtful with our pick ups and drop off. He struck us as an honest, hard working and kind person. I would recommend him to anyone who would like a nice tour of Vancouver!

We were 3 couples travelling together. Gabbi gave us a fantastic day, with lots of sight seeing opportunities and stops every 30 minutes or so. The van was extremely comfortable and roomy. Gabbi was extremely knowledgeable and personable and flexible in timings to suit our needs. I highly recommend a tour with Gabbi.

We were met at the port by Gabii and it couldnt have been easier,he was able to meet us from the ship and stowed all our luggage into his very smart van.Gabi gave us some choices of itinerary but we felt happy leaving the final choices to him,as long as we got to the airport on time. You could tell Gabi loves his city and we managed to see a lot of untouristy bits as well as some "must see"places. The whole day was a wonderful experience and my husband still talks of the prawn and crab sandwich he had at horseshoe bay.Thank you Gabi, hope you have a busy summer

We booked a tour of Victoria Island and another tour of Vancouver with Gabi from BC Grand Tours. It was the worst two days of our whole holiday.
He gave us a private tour of Victoria which was booked from Australia and he informed us via email he could take us to many of the sites we requested. Due to the positive reviews and his attentiveness to our requests we agreed to book both tours in advance with him.
The day he picked us up in Victoria in short he had no specific itinerary, informed us he did not know Victoria very well, was asking us what we wanted even though he had given us a rough itinerary - which we found out he was no longer sticking too. I think one of the roughest points was that although he picked us up at 11 oclock he never offered me and my family a lunch break. We finally got something to eat on the BC ferry back to Vancouver.
Because Gabi informed us he did not know Victoria very well we were left hoping that the next day's tour of Vancouver would be better as apparently he knew that very well.
For Vancouver he had set out an itinerary which we had agreed to before we had paid the deposit months prior. Once again this itinerary was not met, which included items like the Britannia Mine, Sea to Sky Gondola and having lunch at Horseshoe Bay.
This time Gabi picked us up around 9:00am and drove us around and around the city of Vancouver various ways until we had seen many look outs over the city. Again not what we had asked for. By about 2-3pm my family was starving whilst he was still driving us up to lookouts including Cyprus mountain. I had the email from him with the agreed itinerary which he had written. I was extremely disappointed with him by this stage as he was aware. I showed him the email and what he had written and informed him that it was his suggested itinerary that we had agreed to - not ours. His initial reaction was "we couldn't possible go there -its too late in the day".
This was followed up later by him begging me to let him take our family to the sea to sky gondola.
My family was starving once again. It ended up being around 4:30 to 5:00pm that my family managed to grab a bite for lunch. The whole family suffered those days and unfortunately left a very bad taste in our mouths.
Although Gabi apologised profusely for telling us he could take us to so many places which he admitted on the day to not being able to achieve all points of call, still does not remove the unpleasantness we went through.
And Gabi's nice finishing touch to the two days was to stop in some back street of Vancouver to sort out payment with a suggested coffee stop as a ruse. No one wanted coffee by this point. We just wanted to get out of his little van and leave. However Gabi informed us that he was not allowed to sort payment out in front of the Hotel. This final straw of a backyard payment typified the whole experience. Due to my husbands nice nature Gabi received a tip which Gabi has contacted us since and said he does not deserve. I agree whole heartedly as he promised something he did not deliver and even admitted to doing so. Gabi, if you have an ounce of integrity you would offer a refund. I really hope that no other travellers suffer the way we did.

Please consider everything I will say here is honest and truthfully. This review is a total exaggeration and I will explain to my future potential customers that everything Jillian said is unfounded. 1. "The day he picked us up in Victoria in short he had no specific itinerary, informed us he did not know Victoria very well, was asking us what we wanted even though he had given us a rough itinerary " I know very well Victoria and I do the same itinerary every week for the last 2 years. I have also taken her beside the regular attractions to Mount Tolmie Outlook which is not included in the tour. I show them Craigdorough Castle, Mount Tolmie (EXTRA) Government House (EXTRA), Parliament Building, Empress Hotel, ONE HOUR EAT TIME at the Fisherman Wharf (EXTRA) a scenic drive to Beach avenue and Oak bay Marina. This is my exact tour in Victoria including Buchart Gardens. We didn't do that because they did it the day before by themselves. 2. "he picked us up at 11 o'clock he never offered me and my family a lunch break." I always arrive with my groups at 11 am because we depart at 8am sail from 9am ferry for 1h14 min arriving in Victoria past 11am. Apparently she flew the day before for 30 min so she didn't have a clue haw far is Victoria from Vancouver where i live. Also she can't remember they eat for 1h10min at the FISHERMAN WHARF. 3. "This time Gabi picked us up around 9:00am and drove us around and around the city of Vancouver various ways until we had seen many look outs over the city. Again not what we had asked for. By about 2-3pm my family was starving whilst he was still driving us up to lookouts including Cyprus mountain." I have a preset itinerary on my website. This is what I do every day over and over. Because Jillian booked me 8 or 9 months before I did FORGET about her request to SEA to Sky gondola. This route is not included in to my usual 8h Vancouver tour, Gondola is a part of a whistler tour. We left at 9am and for 6h she didn't mention about any Gondola. At one point while I was at Cypress Outlook doing my regular tour, I saw her very upset with a piece of paper in her hand showing a tour to Gondola and the fact they booked tickets for that long time ago. IT WAS 4PM when she said that (almost end of the day tour) In that moment I realized my mistake and I stopped the tour and drove her to the Sea to Sky for an hour. (after i insisted for 5 min) UP on the mountain they all EAT at a FULL RESTAURANT on top of the mountain. Setting up time for lunch or dinner is not my obligation, this is what ALWAYS CUSTOMER ask me from the beginning of the tour where and what time they wish to have lunch. I am not babysitter. 4. "And Gabi's nice finishing touch to the two days was to stop in some back street of Vancouver to sort out payment with a suggested coffee stop as a ruse." I did offer myself to treat customers with a CAPPUCCINO for for the inconvenience and not just coffee at the CARDERO Cafe which is Located actually on a BACK ALLEY because is a neighborhood coffee shop. The reason I chose to make a payment there was because I had a wifi zone from the cafe to process the credit card payment. Also hotels like Fairmont don't like guides to spend a lot of time at the valet area other than drop people off.

We went on the Langley wine tour for my sister's bachelorette party. Gabi told me that he had no other booking for that day, so if I had six people, he would make the tour private (this was the first weekend of May and I booked far in advance, so I am not sure if he could have accommodated that at peak tourist season). We had a group of 8. He answered all 25 (it might have been more) of my emails promptly, helped figure out a good meeting place (we are from Vancouver, so didn't need hotel pickup), and let me customize the wineries we visited (we added Backyard Vineyards and skipped visiting Fort Langley, since we are all locals). Our favourites were Chaberton and Krauss Berry. All the wineries were expecting us, and he even got Krauss Berry to accommodate us on a day they were closed for staff training. It was a wonderful day, and Gabi was great. He helped keep us on schedule without feeling rushed, and carried all the wine we bought too (3 cases total), always right there to open the van door, even when we went back three times because we forgot things. He somehow always closed the van behind us and was into the winery first to let them know it was our group. I highly recommend BC grand tours for the winery tour, and if I was doing it all over, wouldn't change a thing.
