The tour was a Christmas present from my two sons. We went with their families and everyone had a great time. Judy took us for a tour of Chinatown, then she taught us how to make dumplings. Instructive, fun, and tasty! Highly recommended.

We did the tour as a surprise birthday gift for my wife, with friends and our adult daughter. We all loved Judy's telling of the history, architecture, and current state of affairs of Vancouver's Chinatown. We saw and learned so many interesting things about Vancouver's Chinatown that we never would have known without someone like Judy who is so connected in so many ways to Vancouver's Chinatown. We also loved how Judy's storytelling connected to Chinatowns around the world and the indigneous and Sikh experiences of immigration to Canada. Also, we all loved the dim sum choices by Judy. The tour and Judy were awesome! I will be recommending the tour to all my friends.…

Fantastic tour. Judy is very personable and because of her family ties to the community, she is brimming with knowledge and insight into the culture, cuisine, architecture, and long history of the neighborhood. As well as access to many places that are unknown or off limits to tourists (and even most locals). During the walk she was greeted warmly by all of the locals we encountered, and then she would have an interesting story to tell about the people we met. A couple times we arrived at a building that seemed closed, but then Judy would have a quick chat with the security guard and we would be waved in with a smile. Being able to visit the Society Buildings was a highlight, we peeked in on a roomful of locals playing Mahjong (the clacking of the tiles was deafening), and saw piles of dragon heads in storage for the New Years parade.…
