This was an amazing experience,my first of many to come kayaking experiences. We had safe and thrilling experiences each day. With the amazing food there was the beauty and fascinating surroundings and the wonderful unplugged element, living in nature in very comfortable camping accommodations. As I now realize my first time in a kayak was a peak experience, and one... More

This was our first adventure with West Coast Expeditions but it certainly will not be our last. Memories made for a life time. My teenagers have been changed forever, as have my husband and I, thanks to the beautiful surroundings, the knowledgable and kind staff, the Kyoquot people and of course the sea wolves and otters.

Thank you Dagny and Rick. It was such a pleasure having you and your family join us on Spring Island, last summer! We look forward to your return visit. More

I highly recommend West Coast Expeditions for sea kayak rentals. My friend and I rented two single sea kayaks, along with the necessary equipment (e.g., paddles, skirts, etc.) from WCE to explore the Kyuquot Sound to Brooks Peninsula on our own. The rentals were affordable and in good conditions. Everything went smoothly from the moment we first communicated with WCE... More

My 7th visit to Spring Island over the years was truly exceptional. It is a long journey to reach this beautiful isolated spot from California but so worth it. Glorious scenery with sightings on our kayak and boat travels of bear with 3 Cubs, many sea otters, eagles, herons, and a costal wolf. Dave and Carolyn with their crew have... More

We did a 5 kayak trip with this group in July. We have been on a number of other kayak expeditions and this one was outstanding. The scenery is gorgeous. The accommodations are clean, quaint and unique. The guides are spectacular as are the hosts. Knowledgeable, respectful, first class people! It rained for 2 of our 5 days but this... More

The weather was great (we were very lucky) the food was good, the tents were very comfortable and the beds and pillows made sleeping great. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable which made the trip even better. Nothing like people enjoying working together and respecting each other to help make the trip even better. We all came because of the... More

The NorthWest Coast of Vancouver Island isn't all that easy to experience by kayak, or even to get to in the first place... but so worth the effort. If you go, kayaking with West Coast Expeditions is the experience you want to have, with the company you want to support, who in turn supports and enriches their local community. Kudos!

We have just returned from a fantastic trip with WCE. Our kids rated it as "O" for outstanding (the top rating following the ranking for O.W.L. exams in the Harry Potter books). Caroline, Dave and the crew are extremely welcoming, superbly organized and have built an incredible camp. We'll be back, no question. This is a stunning part of the... More

We participated in the 4 day base camp version of kayaking. Very nice kayaking and "camping" with excellent food, very nice tents with beds (you need a sleeping bag), and great bathrooms considering that you are on an island with no running water (they have to bring in fresh water or catch rain water). We have 2 athletic boys, 16... More

I just completed West Coast Expeditions six day Rugged Point Expedition, my third trip with WCE ( and not my last). As with the other two trips, I only have positive comments. Safety is a priority for the company and its guides, and they manage the safety concerns in such a way that I felt both safe and encouraged to... More
