Hello Denise! Thank you for touching base. You have such a good question and one that I wish I could answer. The truth is that sightings are truly random throughout the day and do not seem to correlate with the time of day, weather or sea conditions. June is a great month for wildlife viewing but of course there is always a chance we won't see these wild, wonderful whales. Our suggestion is to plan your tour with us early during your stay in Victoria. That way, you would have time to come again if you didn't have a successful sighting on the first trip! Hi Leann O, Luckily for our guests there is no better time of day to see Whales. We see Whales just as much on the morning tours as we do in the afternoon or evening. Killer Whales don't sleep like humans do. They do, however, rest but this is not necessarily at night time. Even when they do rest they still need to come to the surface to breathe. Whales are involuntary breathers. This means they need to stay conscious in order to survive. They swim all day every day and don't ever stop moving. A Killer Whales resting pattern is beautiful to see. They all line up close together and synchronize their dives. Seeing multiple blows at the surface at the same time is just breathtaking :) Hopefully you will have an amazing time when you join us. Thanks for your question. Yes, you bet! The trick is timing of course. Our guaranteed daily departures are at 10 am and 2 pm, both of which (I believe) are a little too close to your disembarkation and all aboard times. The 3 hours tours require you to check in 30 minutes early, so I think you might miss our morning tour. The solution might be for you to contact us, and if a zodiac tour is a possibility for you, we could try adding a special departure at 1 pm. May I suggest calling us and asking for me? Hello there. Great question, but the answer is no, we do not have access to the Ship Terminal in town. There is a very popular shuttle service which connects the arrival point (Ogden Point) with the downtown core of Victoria. You can also take a taxi - there is a line up of cabs that service the ships. We have had about a 50-50 split of guests taking the bus and taxi options. Hope this helps!

Hello 877sheryl, Thank you for your question. Yes we have different boats but not at this time of year. From Nov-Mar we run Marine Wildlife Tours by Zodiac boat only. However, from mid April to the end of October we have 2 different types of Whale Watching boats. Marauder IV, is our 61' Ocean Cruiser and is the boat I would recommend for you. This large, comfortable Motor Yacht has indoor and outdoor seating, a spacious washroom, a great view from the Captain's Bridge and 360 degree viewing decks - not to mention complimentary Hot Chocolate, Tea & Coffee.
