My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour of downtown Victoria historic areas and eateries. Andy provided information and stories that I hadn’t previously heard, and he was an excellent, animated and thoughtful host. We both enjoyed the variety, quality and quantity of the tastings on the tour, and highly recommend it to other locals and their visitors.

This tour was a great introduction to the food scene and other interesting spots to visit. I would highly recommend it early in your trip because you will definitely want to go back and revisit some of the places you walked by or eat at the restaurants Andy recommends. As a passionate local, he has deep insider knowledge of his city and is rightly proud of all of it has to offer. Highly recommended!

From start to finish, this tour was a wonderful treat. I was a solo traveller looking for some history and good eats, Andy made sure of that from the moment I met with him and the group. He was welcoming, enthusiastic and fun! At every stop, he went out of his way to have chefs/owners speak with the group, he took care of our every need and constantly checked in to how we were liking everything. We got to try arancini balls, fish tacos, pirogies, matcha tea lemonade, and more! We were lucky to have a gorgeous sunny day but Andy has plans for the right samples in any weather. I would absolutely recommend taking this tour, you'll have a great time and leave with full minds and bellies!

Andy was a fantastic tour guide. He was personable and provided relevant information regarding the area, local sites, and vendors. His great rapport with the owners of the shops was evident and he clearly loves where he lives. The variety of eats (savoury, sweet, drinks) was well thought out and the portion sizes were perfect. You were not stuffed by the end of the tour, but not hungry either. There is no need to eat beforehand. You start at the Public Market and after a well paced 2 hour tour, you end at the harbour infront of the Empress Hotel.
We have taken several food tours and this was one of the best due to Andy and the food chosen. We went back to several of the places that we had visited on the tour. Highly recommend - do it early in your trip!

The 2 hours tour introduces you to the old city , China town and inner harbor history while on the way you enjoy special and very diverse tastings. Andy is doing that with a lot of knowledge, charm and in a very good pace. He was attentive, advised where to visit and where to dine . Was a fantastic tour!

Andy was super knowledgeable, very personable, made sure everyone was included and felt comfortable, etc. He's clearly passionate about his city and he's not just crossing things off a list of things to know. Very cool insight from a local. The tastings and variety of different types of food and experiences as amazing for 2 hours. Had our 8 year old with us and he loved it! HIGHLY recommend!

This tour is one of the more enjoyable travel experiences I have had in recent memory. Andy is full of history and fun facts about his beloved city. The tour did not feel rushed nor did it feel too slow. Everything is extremely well planned and intentionally included to add to the enjoyment of the customer. The food choices are amazing, well portioned and perfectly timed throughout the walking tour. Also, the tidbits of history sprinkled throughout the walking path made everything that much more fun. I recommend you do this on your first day in Victoria so you can get acquainted with the City and have the opportunity to ask Andy about where you should go eat for the rest of your trip. I can't recommend this walking tour enough. It's the perfect way for couples or friends to spend two hours getting to know the city by a local expert. Buy the tickets!

Andy's tour was a deliciously fun introduction to the Victoria food scene, and hands down our favorite experience of the weekend! His passion for food and local vendors comes through with every stop, story, and bite, and opened our eyes to restaurants and perspectives on the city we would have completely missed otherwise. Andy goes out of his way to make sure that you walk away loving the city as much as he does, even providing a list of other restaurant recommendations for after the tour. Strongly recommend for anyone wanting to experience this side of Victoria!

This was my second time going on this city tour with Andy and his enthusiasm was still as high as it was 5 years ago. Andy’s tour is a great way to see the city of Victoria while learning about the local food scene one bite at a time. Highly recommend!!

We drove over from Sidney and didn't have a lot of time. Was a great way to see and learn about Victoria while having lunch at the same time. We met and heard from several of the restaurant owners. It's a group tour that's not all gawking - Andy is a one man show, and when he introduces the restaurant owner and they tell you their story while you enjoy their food, it's more like a friend showing you around introducing you to their friends. Also nice to support these small businesses.

Young children can come along on the tour. If they will be participating in the tastings then they are the same price as adults. If they are not participating in the tastings then they are free. Please make a note in the reservation that you are bringing a young child who will not be tasting if you choose to do this. Cheers, Andy

It is about a 45 minute walk or 10 min taxi ride to the start location at the Victoria Public Market (1701 Douglas St.). The tour finishes at Tourist Centre across from the Empress Hotel (about a 25 min walk back to cruise terminal).

We are thinking about this tour, however we do not do a lot of walking. Is there enough time to rest while tasting and is the walk somewhat easy?

The 4 of us are “seniors” and very active. That being said, I think everyone was able to keep up and Mark was very accomplished at pacing the tour. Each place had seating (except the Italian bakery-but oh my, the tastings there were wonderful).
