Loved the first driver. We had a auto guide that would talk over the intercoms but the driver would help us look for the locations, give us a heads up if a photo opportunity, and generally a very humorous guy. There wasn’t anything wrong with the second driver he just never talked the rest of the way. I wish there was an app that we could download that gave us an estimated time till the next bus. I felt I really couldn’t enjoy my stops without having to set a timer or continuously check my watch

We always take the Gray Line Hop On/Hope Off when we visit a new city. We went April 5th - a very cold day, and bought the tour and admission to Craigdarroch Castle for $134 for two, starting at the Empress Hotel. Our driver was a real character and made us feel welcome. We knew then that despite the cold we would have a good time. He got us blankets to put on so that we could sit up top on the double decker bus. A very good tour, slowed down for photo ops, provided commentary, both recorded and his own. Saw lots. During the tour we got notified that the castle was closed before arriving there and arrangements were made for us to be refunded for this portion which happened when we returned to the Empress Hotel A lot of fun and highly recommended.

Unexpected price hike….too fast to take in anything. Price went from 39$ to 48$ overnight. Operator said it was a special that had ended and the visitor Center had out of date info. Went back to the info Center after the tour and they still had the same 39$ cost. It was a Christmas Eve tour and we were a Little late for the first stop, but it was an easy walk to the second stop. Our tour lacking the first stop was just over an hour. We like the sights and narration both recorded and from the driver. But no time for photos or to actually take in the attractions. The tour was too fast and should have allowed for short stops at the sights for a better experience. As the price was increased to 48$ per person, for a group of four it would have been far more economical and sight friendly to hire a cab and grab a tour guide from the visitor Center. Bottom line was that we did not get the value for the price paid. Save your money and hire a car service.

I truly apologize that our prices were not communicated to you properly. We try to pick the stops to make sure our guests have the opportunity to take photos and experience all the major attractions in Victoria. Unfortunately, we can't stop at every beautiful sight, as much as we would like to. We would love to have you on board during the summer season to experience the hop on, hop off aspect of the tour, where you can hop off at any time to explore further any areas you find interesting!

Operated on time and conducted a very through 1.5 hour visit. You can do hop-on hop-off for a full 24hrs. A extra pleasant view from the open upper deck.

We (2 adults + 3 kids) went on the Victoria (BC) trip. The experience was amazing. We saw the city of Victoria on an amazing sunny day. Our guide was very funny and good. Recommended for a quick introduction of the city.
