Nice vibe. Lot's of stores, bars, restaurants. Easy to walk around and enjoy people watching. The weather is usually cooperative, so I recommend taking an early evening stroll along the street.

Government is a fun street for shoppers! My family had a great time walking Government Street and visiting the shops. I enjoyed waiting for them in an excellent Irish Pub - also on Government Street.

The parliament building and the landscaping on the grounds are beautiful. You can not miss this area when visiting Victoria. I would put that and Butchart Gardens at the top of your list.

This is the real center of activity in Victoria. There was a jazz festival on one end of the street, and activities near the harbor on the other end. There are lots of shops.

This is a long street with many stores, restaurants, However, we had fun shopping, and then went to various restaurants for happy hours. All the places were busy but we went around 6.

In a way I have already reviewed this, at least the inner harbour area. This is the center of Victoria so you don't want to miss this area.

I absolutely love the little maple cookies, and ice wine chocolate. If you're on a cruise ship, it's a quick hop to the harbor, and into little shops, kitschy souvenir shops (and cookies!), the best hot dog ever...all within time to get back to the...More
