A walk in the inner harbour is a must. This is a jewel of the city... lots to see and do here. In the winter the city lights are great.

Clean streets, fun storefronts and pop up vendors. We explored every inch and had so much fun. Even street vendors took square. Lots of restaurants along this stretch, many pubs.

Pretty much the main shopping street in downtown Victoria. Easy to walk and lots to see and buy. The closer you get towards the Empress and Parliament, the more touristy it gets.

When I think about it from a tourists point of view...great street to wander down, especially if you are looking for your touristy trinkets/gifts/souvenirs etc. Plenty of ice cream, that's for sure! When I get downtown in the summer, I tend to wander up Gov't...More

whatever one desires can be found in a shop along Government St. Such a delightful variety, from souvenirs to sensible clothing. Watch out for the Mounted Bear!

It is a very interesting place to walk or drive down. So many neat things to see. This area has everything from shops to restaurants to various things to see, or go for a ferry ride.

Declining in appeal, like other parts of downtown Victoria, Governement St is getting too busy to enjoy. There is a decent variety of shops, and a few decent pubs, much of it is (over) priced for tourists.

This area is full of shops, bars and restaurants geared towards the tourist trade. Few locals to be seen.

All the stores have the same things you would expect: Tee shirts, sweatshirts, license plates, shot glasses, magnets, etc. It's a tourist area, and we were tourists. It was fun. Nice and clean and talented buskers on many blocks.
