The 1,434-seat Royal Theatre, opened in 1913 as the Victoria Opera House, is a heritage jewel. We went to see a Ronnie James comedy show and thoroughly enjoyed the Theatre. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house for viewing the stage. The outside is a simple brick structure but inside the theatre is a throw back in time....More

Great concert with lovely ambiance. Lovely chairs to sit on and easy access for the disabled upstairs. Really recommended

I have seen a number of shows in the Royal Theatre and have never been disappointed .The seats are comfortable with a good view no matter where you sit,the sound was good and the price was reasonable .

From stand up comedy to dance, from orchestras to concerts, the Royal Theatre never disappoints. Not a bad seat in the house.

I have been to concerts, operas etc. here and there is not a bad seat in the house. Parking can be a bit tricky. Many good restaurants nearby if you want to have dinner first

Sweet ⅔ size hall. Very steeply raked seating upstairs. Beware of balcony searing if you have mobility issues.
