Good ferry service, 4 times daily in summer months. The Coho was built in 1959 but is well maintained though older, Food is nothing to write home about, but there is some, and that's all you need for an hour and a half transit time....More

We had a small car and a few dogs from Port Angeles to Victoria (and back a few days later). They were easy and efficient to use and a fun little boat ride. Seems a little expensive ($80 each way).

A great service joining the beautiful Olympic peninsula in Washington State and scenic Victoria. A great way for islanders to get off the rock and do the border at the same time.

We have taken this ferry a few times, both ways, and always found it a great way to get to the US. It has always been on time, and we enjoyed the scenery without having to actually drive. The boat itself is a bit dated,...More

We enjoy the slower ride to Vancouver Island that the Black Ball Ferry allows. I like walking around the deck and watching for wildlife. It just makes for a pleasant start to the holiday.

The 'Coho' is the fore-runner to all those BC Ferries, the earliest of which came from the drawing board of the same architect. Hard to believe that this ship is over 50 years 'young'. A no frills experience, but gets you there safely and on...More

the ferry was very comfortable. It had the open back deck which was great for photos of the Olympics receding over the prop wash.

It's a standard ferry ride, albeit a very old one. Comfortable enough inside the forward lounge though the seats are a bit worn. Ship does not have stabilisers so it does roll a bit. Open air seating, somewht sheltered from the wind, top deck aft....More

Kinda cool for a ferry. Food and beverages on board. Plenty to see and explore for the 90 min crossing.

Yes, it can be less if you disconnect and drive two separate vehicles on and off the ferry. However, you must drive both vehicles individually through Customs and re-connect once you are safely past the Customs area. Here... More
