Great location. Lovely remodel. Large rooms. Everyone very friendly. Beautiful grounds. Miss the Bombay resturant.

Had a fantastic long weekend in Victoria at the Empress. We used Fairmont Gold. Great room. Great service. The amenities offered throughout the day in lounge were great. Breakfasts were perfect. Making your own snacks during the day. Finishing the evening with some desserts is...More

It is a lovely old building. Sadly, recent renovations have cleared away some of the historic charm along with the ivy. I know that the Bengal Lounge had colonial racist connotations...maybe they should rename the hotel The Female Prime Minister, to really goose the old...More

This historic hotel has very nice olden style architecture. It faces the Inner harbour and opposite the Victoria information centre. It has some very high end retail facilities. You can go in and take a look but enter from the southern entrance. Gets litted up...More

You will be surprised when you come to this place. So much to do and see. We came by boat from Seattle, WA. Saw whales along the way. My wife and I enjoyed tea in the grand ballroom at the hotel in the afternoon. Wonderful

Service is always great here. The poll and workout facilities are second to none. If you have the option of varying you arrival or departure you can get some good deals on rates. Government rate is very reasonable but don't expect it if your trip...More

A must see when in Victoria. This is an old hotel in the English tradition including a traditional English Tea for which it is famous! Pricey, but worth it. Located right at the inner harbor terminus and in the middle of all the action across...More

This is a must do experience. Rather expensive but worth it. Tea, food, ambiance , and service all excellent making this an event rather than tea with lunch. Makes me want to have “afternoon hot tea” back home in Atlanta.

Pretty old hotel in heart of Victoria. Elegant and gives the feeling of long ago the way wealthy people stayed on trips. High tea is very pricey, but you may want to splurge and take it in.

Recommend that you take a cab from Ogden Point terminal, as you only have a few hours. Both facilities are very close together. Location is classified as the Inner Harbour of Victoria. Taxi driver should have no issues with... More
