We went because our 12 year old likes things like this. Wasn't a very big place or anything but they do have quite a collection of bugs and things. And there is someone there that explains things like a tour guide.
I used to take the daycare kids to visit at least once a month. They are very knowledgeable about all the creatures they have in the Zoo. They allow the children to hold and touch most of them with supervision.
Shared the experience with our granddaughters and we all enjoyed the visit and the information provided by the well informed guides. Would have no need to attend without little ones in tow who have asked to return.
