With so many beautiful and amazing varieties of flowers it is worth the price. The Rose, Japanese, and Italian gardens are absolutely beautiful. Might be because of covid as there were no tour buses so visitor volume was low. This presented many opportunities for solo pictures. I would definitely visit again. Shout out to the fellows directing parking lot traffic.

It was a great family visit to the Garden and it brought back a lot of positive memories for me as I used to go there as a child. In addition, it was my wife’s and son’s first visit there and they enjoyed it very much. The scenery and displays were beautiful and well maintained. I would highly recommend this tourist destination. Ron Dreyer Calgary, Alberta

Tour started in front of The Empress Hotel. Laura our first point of contact was engaging, well organized and directed us to the appropriate bus for our tour. Driver Adrian gave a informative background on Victoria and pointed out interesting sights along the way. Butchart Gardens was impressive though a bit early in the season for a lot of color.

I booked this tour through Clipper Vacations. The bus picks you up right at the cruise terminal, with an additional pick up at the Empress. They require that you check in 20 minutes prior to departure, which does kind of make you have to "stick around" the terminal and waste time. You don't have time to walk far before you have to check in after cruise arrival, and then you also can't really do anything with the 20 minutes after you have checked in. I appreciate that in the spring/summer when the Gardens are more popular they probably need that full 20 minutes to process everyone, but in February there were not many of us and no line ever even formed. Our driver was very knowledgeable and gave a great overview of the sights we passed along the way. Once at Butchart Gardens, we had free time and just told a time to get back to the bus. It was an appropriate amount of time to do everything. I did not feel rushed. We departed slightly late due to one family missing the correct meeting time, but it did appear we were going to go without them if they didn't make a small grace period. I appreciate when tour companies do stick to a timetable and don't hold everyone up for latecomers. On the way back, the bus stopped at a couple hotels to drop off guests before returning to the cruise terminal. I would have preferred if there had been a way to get off the bus before going to the hotels. Those stops ate up the rest of the time we had in Victoria before the cruise departed. If we had been able to stop somewhere before heading to the Delta, it would've been nearly 30 minutes we could've spent walking around. Overall it was a very nice service and way to experience Butchart Gardens during a short visit to Victoria.
