Review of: Victoria Whale and Wildlife Cruise
We were recommended by a concierge to Eagle Wing Whale and Wildlife Tours and were not disappointed. When we arrive at the Fishermen’s Wharf and registered for our cruise, we felt welcomed and received our pass allowing us to board to boat. Before going on the boat, we had a small briefing on where we will be going and the type of whale and wildlife we may see. Heading to the boat and met the crew (Rod, Tom, Lili, Izzy & Grant) that will be with us all along the cruise. Gave our pass and board a very comfortable boat with washroom and lots of areas to be and watch the wale and wildlife. What I like is they have an area with shelvings for us to store our backpacks and feel free to go around the boat and not to have to worried about our belongings. Safety come first so we had the safety instructions before going on our cruise experience. During the cruise, every crew members interacted with us and provided useful information to enhance our experience. What is great is Eagle Wing Whale and Wildlife Tours is part of an association (sorry can’t recall the name) that allow the sharing information on where the wales are and at the same time to enhance our chances to see whale and wildlife. Please keep in mind that we need to be at distance for their safety and ours. We had very nice weather and still a bit chilled so having an inside area to stay warmer was definitely a plus. Many places around the boat to be and take picture at every opportunity without filling cramp with other people. On our cruise we saw transient orcas meaning they and not the local pods of orcas and easy to recognize as they are in small group of 3 to 5 instead of the local being in bigger group with the mom being the head of the pods. As well on our way back near the lighthouse we saw some Stellar’s and California sea lions, 1 harbour seal eating an octopus and some seabirds (cormorants, loon, oystercatchers & guillemots) The duration of the cruise 3.5 to 4 hours is plenty and on the way back we get a resume of what we have seen and where we went. The crew do an amazing job so please do not forget at the end to share your appreciation with gratuities! Back to Fisherman’s wharf, is a very quaint area to have some fish & seafood and drinks to end a perfect cruise. You will find many company in Victoria with many different boat options but Eagle Wing Whale and Wildlife Tours surpassed our expectations and definitely would take them again. Thank you for the great whale and wildlife experience! Ronaldo…

As some years ago I joined the Eagle Wing Whale & Wildlife tour again today 15-5-2022. The guides are very enthusiastic, as before, and informed me all you about the background of the animals and their environment. A big thanks to Dana, Mel, Russ and Tom. We saw the Humpback Whale, Sea Otter, Stellar sealion, California sealion, young elephant seal, Bald Eagle (juv), and much more. This made my day if not month.…

Review of: Victoria Whale and Wildlife Cruise
Wow!!! What a fantastic experience, it's one I'll never forget. Right from check-in everyone on the team was friendly and knowledgeable. On the boat they have all the items you may need if you weren't quite prepared for the winds of the water including toques, mitts, jackets, sunglasses, and sunscreen. They also have plenty of pairs of binoculars you can use. The staff on board were absolutely amazing!! Our crew included Izzy, Lili, Tom, Grant, and Rod. You could tell they all had such passion for wildlife and were excited to teach us and answer any questions we had. I got to spend quite a bit of time near Lili while we followed an orca pod and it gave me such a wonderful appreciation for what I was seeing. In addition to the orcas we saw sea lions, seals (one eating an octopus or squid!!), and a bald eagle. If you are looking for something to do while in Victoria, make this tour a part of your stay. Our trip was on the semi-covered 4 Ever Wild boat which provided a nice place to escape the winds when we were navigating around.…
