After living in Vancouver, B.C. and visiting the market there several times, this one is very disappointing. It is very small with only about 10 vendors and most of those are food places. We did stop at The Chocolate Project and found it very fascinating. The owner was very knowledgeable. He has judged chocolate from all over the world and the shop sells award winning chocolate from all different countries. All the chocolate is sustainable. We bought several different bars of chocolate and some Chocolate Syrup and Salsa which is made right in the building. Both are very good.

I loved this adorable market. Every town should have one because it truly makes the town that much more special. Kind of reminds me of Milwaukee’s public market. Adorable restaurants, with vegan options. Super cute retail stores, with home furnishings and kitchen supplies, etc. Little jewelry stands. A tea store. Clean, with friendly people. Can’t wait to go back!

I haven't been here in a while. With the increase in density in this part of Victoria this urban market/mall has been constantly changing since it was conceived. Standing at the East end, you now have a full view all the way to Douglas Street. Vendors on either side will tempt you with food, beverage and trinkets. A vision still not fully realized, (maybe some art input will help draw, hehe). Being next to bus stop is handy.

I visited in early December, so this review may not be relevant to other times of the year. The area was filled with small stalls or tables with merchandise. Some appeared to be local artists; others more established shops. There also were several food vendors who were busy. I found items to buy at a kitchen shop, and was intrigued by a local jewelry maker as well as a shop with spices.

Calling this a public market is a sad joke. It's a collection of marginal prepared food vendors with very limited "market" opportunities. The pasta vendor, for example, has one small display of plain pasta bags -- overpriced, of course. You can get much better, more interesting pasta cheaper at the neighborhood Thrifty. The "meat" market sells "plant-based" product. The "pantry" is nothing but "gourmet delicacies" -- overpriced, of course -- from everywhere except Canada. Maybe this is a good spot for downtown Victoria workers to get lunch, but as a tourist destination forget it. Not worth the effort of finding a parking place.

Beautiful building downtown with this collection of exotic good vendors. Also a collection of interesting gifts

I would not go out of my way to see it, but if you're around the area it'd be a good spot to drop by to take a look at the stalls and grab a bit of lunch...

Whisk is a funky little kitchen shop. There are several food stalls as well went at lunch and most were very busy. There is a taco stand, sushi stand as well as Italian, western, sandwich shop, something for everyone. Worth the visit

Admittedly, we were looking for a food store in this rather forlorn district of Victoria when we pushed the doors of what looked like a disused covered public market ... But we found a lovely food court inside with lots of stuff in the way of vegan, organic, fresh and tasty. Nice spot, deserves to have more visitors (hey, that's the point of my writing this review, right?). Too bad it closes at 6:00 PM!
