Attended a wedding ceremony held at the top of the park. The day was slightly overcast but the views were beautiful as was the ceremony. This park is a great place to hike up to or drive up & enjoy the view of the city....More
This is wonderful walk up this hidden treasure in Victoria - you can see forever - pick out landmarks and generally enjoy the beautiful scenery - a little steep at times - but I take my walking poles and no problems -
Excellent place from which to view Victoria and the surrounding area and one of the best places to watch the Canada Day fireworks from. Lovely views across the Gulf Islands to Mount Baker in Washington US
We cruised in and only had a few hours to tour the city. We used Fresh Air Tours and one of our stops was this park. It was at dusk and it was just beautiful. Would have loved to have time to do some trails!
We visited as part of our city bus tour and only had a limited time to enjoy. The views all over & around Vitoria are amazing and on a clear day the view extends to the snow capped mountains of Washington State.

The hike is basically just straight up the hill and if you intend to cycle it, it is not considered an "easy" climb; rather high intermediate. There is a vehicle parking lot at the top and a good view though an urban view. If you search victoria mt tolmie you will find a link to the hill with maps and lots of information.
There are restaurants and local pubs in the surrounding urban area.
