About
O'Keefe Ranch was founded in 1867 by Cornelius O'Keefe. His family lived on site for 110 years before it was opened as an historic ranch, meaning it still houses one of the most complete collections of one family's stuff (from the Victorian and Edwardian eras) in all of the province. Today O'Keefe Ranch is operated by a non-profit society and is a registered charity. Come visit us during our open season from May to October - stroll along the boardwalk, visit our original buildings (set up as they were more than 100 years ago!), visit the Greenhow museum, and go say hello to our many farm animals.

- AC2ESaskatoon, Canada92 contributionsGreat family day outThis was a great afternoon for us, but could likely be a full day if you wanted. There is a restaurant there which very reasonable priced ($15 a meal) and they give decent food with huge portions. Once you have been through the historical portion and had your history fix, you can go live your inner kid at the animal portion where you can pet the Donkey or goats etc. There are interactive pottery and blacksmiths shops that are working and sell some stuff for again, pretty darn cheap. There are also other buildings to explore as well as a big model railway for your inner-nerd.Visited July 2020Travelled with familyWritten July 25, 2020
- Daryl S11 contributionsLoved the whole experience! We visited the historic ranch for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it! The beautifully preserved buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries with original furniture and decor take you back to another time in history. We loved the talented actors playing the parts of people that lived and worked on the ranch. They stayed in character as they explained their life on the ranch at the time. We especially enjoyed Osa the milkmaid. Nobody in our party could believe that she was acting as she played the character and interacted with us and our questions like she had been transported into the future. Very well done! It is our understanding that the actors are volunteers, generously donating their time for the enjoyment of the visitors.Visited July 2021Travelled as a coupleWritten July 22, 2021
- Kimberly GEdmonton, Canada27 contributionsCowboy Campfire and The Cattleman's Restaurand is a must!We began our night at The Cattleman's Club Restaurant. The pork schnitzel was sooo delicious! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his roast beef dinner as well. The white sangria was delicious as wa the lemon meringue pie! LARGE portions, I think they were fattening us up so we could do some work on the ranch! I was VERY impressed with how the tables were set out in order to maintain social distancing. Well done during these Covid 19 times! The Cowboy Campfire was awesome. We had th chance to learn how to throw a Lariat, wander the property, go on a hayride and enjoy a campfire along with music, history and poetry. Very well done! Rob Dinwoodie and his fellow musicians are quite talented and I quite enjoyed both the original songs and classics. Ken Mather is quite the historian and I both learned from and enjoyed his stories of the cowboy! He also delivered some awesome poetry. Very talented group of gentlemen - thanks for an awesome night!Visited July 2020Travelled as a coupleWritten July 11, 2020

We rented a parasol for the day from the Gift Shop, popped in to see the featured quilt show, and wandered around the cemetery & church. We went on a lovely wagon ride & were regaled with amusing stories told by Osa, the milkmaid. We watched the Tractor Pull, and spent time at the General Store talking to the Post Master and looking at all the artifacts. The store also sells candy! We highly recommend O'Keefe Ranch, and we'll definitely be back to see everything that we missed!

Super fun Cowboy festival! Reasonable price for generous dinner, a good show and fun activities on the ranch. The entertainment was fun, we went there without children and there is something for every age. Food was good and everyone in the staff was super nice. Highly recommand! I could even keep my dog with us as long as she behaved.

I love historical tours. The Mansion was extraordinary as it still had most of its original furniture. The tour guide was informative and made the tour very informative. Had an area indoor for the children to make crafts. You can rent old fashioned umbrellas for photo ops.

Our experience at the O'Keefe Ranch was very enjoyable. The artifacts were well displayed and the friendly staff were knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. The buildings and gardens are well maintained. An excellent model train display is not to missed. The O'Keefe Ranch is a great way to spend a few hours.

Went during the Winter Carnival and had a fantastic day. The highlight by far was Osa the Milk Maid's wagon tour. She was such a hoot! Had us all laughing and told some great stories about the ranch - some of them were probably even true :) We plan to go back in the warmer months when more of the features are open and we can bring the rest of the family.

This beautiful ranch is a very unique location with strong history in the community, and now brought to life with role play actors and activities for the whole family to enjoy. The wagon ride with Osa the Milk Maid as your guide is always a favourite. Entrance is by donation, so it can be enjoyed by all.

This is a good experience with many things to see and places to explore. My husband and I enjoyed learning about the history of the place, the animals, the challenge of the corn maze and checking out the antique stoves and the general store. This is a great place for families!
