Stopped in there to buy mean ( honey wine.) The lady working there was very helpful. I was offered samples of the mead. I like free samples as I was able to make sure the mead I chose would pair nicely with the beef dish I was planning. Before that I had only had the peach mead. It was good.... More

This is an awesome facility. Yes, it is a commercial, retail operation but they are also passionate about educating the public about bees and their necessity to us for food. There is an inside, (enclosed) transparent bee hive so that you watch the bees about their buzziness as they feed the queen, line the hive and make the honeycomb. It... More

If you are interested in honey and how it is made this stop should be on your radar. The staff very knowledgeable and take time to explain the process, they even have an actual working hive in the store where you can watch the bees working. This on top of a large tasting area, where you can sample different honeys.... More

You can taste close to twenty kinds of honey here, and find just the right one for your purposes. I like the Okanagan Multi Floral, for my christmas baking, but there are honeys from around the world, some light and some strong. There are onsite hives, in which you can watch the bees at work, and a meadery, where you... More

The Honey Farm is truly one of a kind. You can actually see the bees making honey and try to spot the queen bee through the glass cases. The mead is tasty if that is your thing. It is without a doubt a fun homegrown experience.

While visiting family in Vernon, my grandkids were asked to come up with a list of things to do, places to visit, etc. This was high up on their list. Quite interesting, especially the taste testing, but don't eat the wood leather honey! Would up buying quite a few different types of their organic honey, as well as a few... More

Honey here is not just local but from Manitoba, California and Australia. Good cross-section of honeys for sampling. Mead tasting was very nice. There's is the mead wine. The blackberry was exceptional. The warm mead was delicious. Perfect for cooler weather.

If your looking for something to entertain your little ones for an hour or so this is a good choice ! I took my young son here and he had a blast he has always been a little scared of bees and wasps so I figured a little education was in order. He was in awe of the living hive... More
