We spent a good 2 hours here and enjoyed every minute. While my child learned all about bees and had a great time trying to find the queen bee, my husband and I tasted their mead and ended up buying 2 bottles. The raspberry honey mead was drunk that night and we regret we didn’t get a 2nd bottle. Great selection of unique gifts and there is a sanitary honey tasting bar. Was a very enjoyable visit and will definitely be returning.

We took my Mother in law there on Valentine's day. There was one lady on who should not be working with the public unless they want to loose business. My husband made a statement about the candles we were buying and she didn't agree. So he said that's what I just read by the candles. Then she tried to back track. Not once did she smile or make our experience or impression more pleasant. We won't be going back.

Hello Vington, Firstly, thank you for taking the time to write this review. We pride ourselves on providing amazing experiences and on Valentine's Day we clearly failed in doing so. I want to personally apologize and to also let you know that in the time since your visit, the staff member in question is no longer working for us. As many of our reviews will attest, our staff typically go above and beyond to ensure the enjoyment of all of our visitors, and this is another opportunity to go over our customer service standards with staff ensuring what you experienced does not happen again. We would welcome you back any time should you decide to give us another chance, either way we appreciate your feedback, and will use it as an opportunity to do better. Thank you.

Their honey shop offers the widest selection of types of honey I have tasted. They also have taste samples. I really like their buckweat honey and cinnamon honey. I highly recommend this place, especially with young children.

We did the 30 minute tour, learned quite a bit about bees - turns out if the bee is working... it's a female! My wife seemed to know that already.
We did the mead tasting - much like a wine tasting: free to sample 4-5 different types of mead. We really enjoyed the sweeter meals with the fruit flavors. Bought 2 bottles and sampled over a dozen types of honey. Kids really enjoyed the tour and asked lots of questions.
Our kids are aged 10-13.
Did the 2pm 30 minute tour.
Great time - here about 1 hour.
Recommended to all ages (over 19 for the wine tasting).

Live look at a glass bee hive plus several others in the courtyard. Social distance rules prevents the usual live beekeeping demos, but it was a nice experience to see the bees and products made from their hard work up close. Buy some mead!

Right near Davison Orchard. Interesting little place. Did a mead tasting and was pleasantly surprised by the dryer varieties and their similarity to wine.

What a fun, educational and sweet place to visit. The glass hive is fascinating, the story of the family business is engaging and the gift shop has great items for purchase.

This place is nice to visit to buy bee products and learn about bees. The facts about bees will amaze you. We were under the impression we could view active operations, bee hives, etc. and attend a tour or session but they are only run on weekends. The business should run weekday sessions, or make it clear in advertising. Also note, there is no on-site hives/farming to see or visit. We were told by staff, their bee hives operate around the Okanagan. It is a building with educational materials, a sample 'hive' in glass display, and products for sale. Nice, but not what we thought.

Hello MELISSA125, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Planet Bee, we are happy that you found the bee facts amazing! We are sorry that your expectations were not fully met or exceeded and would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few of the points you mentioned: 1) Our educational presentations (which we are extremely careful not to advertise as a 'tour') are in fact run Daily, 3 times a day, in July & August; we are very sorry if you were misinformed. In September and June, when the kids are back in school, we run the presentations on weekends only, as you mention. Perhaps you visited us in early September and not August as your review indicates? Either way, the information should have been provided to you in a clear and succinct manner and we apologize if we dropped the ball. 2) We DO have about 8 beehives on our property and bee-friendly gardens you can walk through, I am sorry this was not made available to you when you visited, it is meant to be offered to all visitors when they are greeted. 3) Although our honey extraction does not take place on site (it would only happen for about 5 weeks/yr anyway), we do bottle our honey and label each jar by hand. Unfortunately, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) guidelines prevent us from bringing visitors into our honey pouring area, as it must follow strict standards of hygiene as I am sure you understand. I hope you have a chance to visit us again and check out our Bee-Friendly Gardens, beehives, and take in one of our Educational Presentations! We will go over our greeting procedures with staff to prevent future miscommunications. Thank you, Planet Bee

I have been to a lot of honey farms, this one is by far the best.
The service was great, staff were helpful and efficient and the most important thing is, they have everything under the sun.
You name it, they have it, already packed and ready to go.
