The Okanagan Science Centre makes science fun for everyone. Come enjoy hands-on science exhibits and activities with the whole family. From March to August, we are displaying Dinosaurs Unearthed - an exciting exhibition of Animatronic Dinosaurs and Dinosaur Fossils. We are home to the only fixed roof planetarium in the BC Interior. All year round we offer Planetarium Shows, Gyro Chair rides, and other science activities--check our website for monthly schedule. We offer a unique collection of hands-on science exhibits, including a Discovery Room for younger children, an Amazon Biotope, a Climbing Wall, a Robotic Clock we built here at the Science Centre, Bert our bearded dragon, and Bitey McBiteface our piranha. We host school field trips, put on a range of Science Camps during breaks from school, and offer themed birthday parties.

Found out Vernon had a science center from the Visitors center. Was happy to go given the rainy weather but was disappointed in the condition of some exhibits. Some worked others didn't. The building while dated, definately needs a good cleaning. Some exhibits were marked...More

Had my grandchildren here from out of town so we took them to see the dinosaur display. Maybe because we have been to the Royal Terell Museum, we found it pretty dull. The place was packed, the children could not get close to the games...More

Thank you for the review. We love the fact that the majority of science centres in Canada have a reciprocal agreement, so that members of other science centres can come visit us.

The Science Centre is an educational and fun hands-on place for the young to enjoy an hour or so. It is well laid out and changes exhibitions regularly.

Great place to go with students or young family members - Lots to do indoors that is fun and educational... Interactive and independent activities - I love that you can bring your own lunch or snack and have it at a table indoors..

A great indoor learning experience for both young and old. As Grandparent, we were looking for places to entertain our Grandchildren - especially indoors on rainy days.
