About Whistler Year-Round Fishing
IMPORTANT: We practice catch & release for ALL trips. Under NO exceptions do we keep fish to bring home to eat. Minimum age requirement of 16. All guests must weigh between 100-280 lbs (45-127 kgs). After picking you up from your accommodation in Whistler we will get you looking like a local BC angler by putting you in a pair of waders and boots. This allows you to get into the water and stay completely dry! Depending on the time of year, you may catch Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout or Cutthroat Trout and your experienced fishing guide will select a water body that will give you the best chance of catching one of these species. Because of this, you may be fishing in a small stream, river or lake. Our thought process is simple. Drive less and fish more to maximize your time out on the water fishing. There are plenty of lunkers a short drive from the Whistler village.

I did the 3-hr morning trip. Stunning location, everyone in the group caught fish and it was the perfect amount of time to allow you to make the most of Whistler with the rest of your day. Also, they limit the group size (3 people in ours) so you get plenty of individual attention from Matt, the guide, if you need some coaching.

Matt spent the time with my wife to teach her to use a fly rod and she caught 2 nice bulls and a bunch of rainbows, (maybe even more than me, but I'll never admit it).

We’ve never fly-fished before and booked this tour as a bucket list item. We did the 3-hour fly-fishing. Matt was fantastic! Taught us everything we needed to know to have a good time and we caught many rainbow trout (I lost just as many ;). Matt is also very conscious about the environment and makes sure things are done correctly.

Fly fishing with Matt was a blast. We had a super productive morning, I caught rainbow after rainbow in beautiful Whistler B.C. After that Matt shared a few additional useful techniques that I can take back home with me when I go fishing in the Catskills.
