    Great Spa!
Need to rejuvenate those tired muscles after a long day of skiing? Sounds like the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a relaxing spa day at Scandanave Spa! While you can book a massage at many of the 4-5 star hotels located at Whistler, you absolutely cannot beat the experience nor the massages at Scandanave if you’re looking for ultimate relaxation. They ask that everyone leaves their phone behind (in provided lockers) while exploring their immersive, outdoor facility with hot installations (including hot baths, saunas and steam rooms), cold installations (think plunge pool!), and plenty of relaxation areas. Make sure you get their plenty early take advantage of the full experience. Read our full review at findyourslope.com!

    Truly Zen experience
After reading the reviews I was skeptical, but so glad I went. It is an absolute zen experience and not the place you want to go to with a group. My massage with Lindsay was out of this world, followed with hot/cold spa areas and even a nap in the solarium. Look for the hammocks and the fire pits for some quiet outdoor space with a cool breeze. When to go? It was perfect the day I went in March, very quiet and lots of spots to move around without a crow. What to bring? I am glad to of brought my flip flops since they don't give you them and the pavement is cold. Also, bring a book (if you don't like to take naps like me). They provided robes and towels for the spa area and your shower afterwards. It was truly one of the best spa experiences ever... thank you !
Thank you for your positive feedback and review Robin.

    A very relaxing experience
We really enjoyed our time here. The grounds were very nice, beautiful views - everything kept very nice and clean, great atmosphere. The hot pools were large and nicely laid out as were the relaxation areas. I didn’t do the saunas or steam rooms but my husband enjoyed them. I was skeptic of the cold pools but after the 1st one I was able to stay longer in it and actually enjoyed it. It felt refreshing and made the relaxing part afterwards better. We also had a light lunch in the cafe and enjoyed that as well. We got there at 10 and left after 2. You can easily spend all day there so give yourself lots of time and maybe bring a book so you can really relax and soak in the atmosphere in the solarium etc. we plan to go back. We would like to experience it in the evening with snow on the ground. Tips: bring flip flops/shower shoes, your own robe if you have one, a book/magazines and a bag to carry your items(there are plenty of hooks around so you can hang your bag up). They give you 2 towels. Try to keep one dry to use at the end.
Hi Cindy, Thank you for sharing your kind words about your experience. We are so happy you took a chance on the cold plunge; we know this step can be intimidating, but as you got to experience is so worth it! I recommend visiting in the winter during sunset, the colorful sky mixed with snow covered trees is absolutely stunning. We look forward to welcoming you back.

    Excellent Spa Experience
I have been lucky enough to visit a number of spas in different countries but I can honestly say this is one of, if not THE best one yet. I was surprised at how many guests were here when we checked in and thought it would be crowded but it never felt that way. The rules that ban tech and talking make it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The various hot and cold facilities were all excellent, however the stand out for me was the 60 minute Swedish massage. I couldn't have asked for a better or more relaxing experience. Laura, the masseuse was excellent. I will definitely try to visit again if I'm ever back in Whistler
Hi Edward, Thank you for sharing your experience. We love hearing that you had an amazing massage experience with one of our therapists. We will be sure to pass on your high praise to Laura. We're glad you embraced the silence and digital detox. We believe these are integral aspects of the thermal journey experience and help us connect with the natural setting. We look forward to welcoming you back to Whistler and the Scandinave Spa!

A truly rejuvenation and peaceful experience in Whistler
I am always happy to keep returning to this little haven for rejuvenation after a long day of hiking/activities. What really impressed me was yesterday (July 23) when I went there and redeemed my gift card I purchased for myself back on November 2022, apparently someone else had used the same gift card I have (not sure how) and the manager had addressed this matter quickly and professionally, so I truly appreciate that. I also like the fact that kids are not allowed so we can have a truly quiet and peaceful experience there (though some people are still talking pretty loud at the spa). Very clean area, with beautiful mountain view, generous on tea and water, and the price is actually quite reasonable considering we can stay as long as we want. I truly soak in my thermo bath experience at this place and it is not uncommon that I even snooze while resting after the hot and cold bath. Will definitely come again.
Hi Kaoruh666, thank you for sharing your wonderful experience at Scandinave Spa Whistler! We're thrilled to hear that you keep returning to our little haven of relaxation for rejuvenation after your adventures. We apologize for the mix-up with your gift card, but we're glad to hear that our management swiftly and professionally addressed the issue. Our priority is always to ensure our guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience. We are patinate about the importance of a quiet and peaceful environment for relaxation. We do our best to maintain a serene atmosphere, though occasionally some guests find the silence a challenge to commit to. We're happy to heard this did not disrupt your relaxation too much and you still fully enjoyed the thermal journey facilities. Thank you again for sharing your positive feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back!

    A relaxing and peaceful time
First-time visitors, it took until our fourth circuit to really feel the relaxation kick in and doze off. Next time I would take a book to read. Don't make our mistake, take sandals instead of slippers! It was hard not to talk, but enjoyable. Quite a few couples and some single guys visiting too, not just for women. They have a small cafe area on site with food but we didn't try it out. BCAA members currently get a discount. If you don't make reservations, take your robe and save the rental fee.
Hi Alaycia, Thank you for sharing your positive review and feedback. We're delighted you enjoyed your first experience at the Scandinave Spa Whistler. We appreciate your recommendation for bringing sandals a robe and utilizing the BCAA discount. We hope you left feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated, we hope to welcome you back soon.

    Great facilities
Enjoyed an afternoon break at the Scandinave Spa. The facilities include a number of hot tubs, cold water pools, steam rooms, and firepit areas. The spa is built right among the pristine forest. No cellphones or talking permitted. It really makes for a great atmosphere. The downside to our visit was that it was during afternoon primetime. The spa was packed with guests to the point you're almost tripping over each other, hot rooms were full, hot tubs are jam packed. This unfortunately detracted from the experience in a big way. Would recommend avoiding the afternoon rush to maximize your relaxation
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and experience at Scandinave Spa Whistler. We're delighted you enjoyed the beautiful natural BC scenery and embraced the relaxing atmosphere of silence and digital detox. We are sorry to hear you found the spa a little crowded during your visit. Our capacity limit is constantly changing depending on several factors; including our guest feedback. We will take this into consideration as we continue to develop the experience. We appreciate your recommendation to visit outside the afternoon busy period. We appreciate your feedback and hope you otherwise had a very relaxing and rejuvenating spa day. We hope to welcome you back in the future.

    Tranquil afternoon
This was my second trip to Scandinave, and this experience was even better than my first. After a massage, my partner and I spent several hours moving through the hot-cold-relax cycle. The quiet and the beautiful scenery enhanced the experience. After 2 days of skiing at Whistler Blackcomb, my back and quads were in definite need of some TLC. Post-massage, I was able to walk up and down the spa's stairs without any muscle soreness at all. I left feeling refreshed in both body and spirit. Beautiful environment, wonderful facilities. I can't wait to come back.

I was so looking forward to returning to the spa after a memorable visit 9 years previously. However I was so disappointed as it was so busy and run down. I felt like I was a number being processed. My massage was ok but my husband said his Swedish massage was not relaxing. Also piles of dirty linen in the change rooms. Lastly the pricing was absolutely outrageous for a sub standard experience.

Was going to book this for my husband and I. In 2019 we went and it was $50 per person. They have since raised the price to $130 PER PERSON plus taxes. This is absolute INSANITY but hey, if people are willing to pay then they'll cater to the highest bidders...profit, profit, profit and price gouging at its finest. My guess is the staff that work there wouldn't even pay these prices! Not into supporting this sort of business model As such, I wouldn't recommend anyone waste that sort of money to go between hot and cold pools...

I have been here before.Pools are nice and relaxing. The problem today was that we tried the walk in and it seems now the reservations that cost an extra $40 on the already inflated prices take up full capacity. Today was 27 on list. 3 hours later 26 even though ‘ 8 parties have left. Waited in Whistler for 8 hours was not notified when the waitlist was closed for the day.

Hi Danielle, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with our waitlist system. For guaranteed access we recommend booking in advance, we offer walk-in access based on availability and is subject to a waitlist if we are at capacity. The Thermal Journey experience has no time restrictions, so it does make it difficult to predict the waitlist times. We appreciate your feedback as we strive to improve our services. We hope to welcome you back in the future.

If you are a BCAA member and you want to take advantage of the 15% member benefit discount for Thermal Journey, don't bother making a reservation as they will not honour it. Scandinave only honours them on walk-ins as we were told by the guest experience agent. They didn't even bother looking at our membership cards.

Overall, average. Upper pool needed to be warmer. It was good to see employees reminding rowdy clients to quiet it down but some clients have their mobile phone making accidental noises in the relaxation room. Perhaps, there is an effective way to enforce digital detox or re-iterate to clients to leave their phones behind.

Hi EluTyee, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologies for the inconveniences you experienced regarding the BCAA discount and while enjoying the thermal facilities. We have connected with BCAA to align with the correct terms and conditions, if you have any questions our guest experience team is available to assist at 604-935-2424 or info.whistler@scandinave.com. We appreciate your feedback regarding other guests not adhere to the silence and technology detox. We have passed this on to our management team for further consideration as we continue to improve our services. The only good thing was the message, the rest was nothing but a money grab. when you book online it appears they only allow people in, in intervals. Not the case, they allow walk in and there are no limts. There is a routine you suppose to follow, however the hotpools were crowded and the relax rooms were full so you had wait after going in the cold pool. Once in the relax rooms all the chair squeeked and the people coming an going very 20-40 seconds with the door slamming. For $500 for a couple it was the least relaxing spa I have ever been in. as this was title save you money - the experience is not worth it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback. We apologies for the inconveniences you experienced from the other guests. We recommend reserving for guaranteed access, however, we do accept walk-ins based on availability. We are sorry to hear you felt the spa was too busy during your visit. Our capacity limit is constantly changing depending on several factors; feedback from our spa experience team, the weather, and the number of features we have open. These factors as well as fire safety regulations are considered to assign a capacity limit that can change and fluctuate daily. Thank you for bringing forward that you felt we were too crowded, our guests’ feedback is also important to us and taken into consideration when developing our limits. We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed the massage experience. We hope to welcome you back in the future for a more relaxing and quiet spa day.

Called to schedule a appointment and asked what’s available including message, she said they were all booked up, but on the website they were many openings today. The girl on the phone was very rude to me. And couldn’t address any of my questions. Just being treated rudely on the phone in an unprofessional manner I have decided not to schedule a message and have decided to go somewhere else. Besides they are exorbitantly over priced. I guess that’s the new normal be rude charge a lot!!!
