A very relaxing day of hot pools, steam rooms and saunas. A couple of dips in the cold baths were invigorating too!
Unfortunately, too many people were permitted in at the same time and it was very crowded, which takes away from the peacefulness. Also, while there is supposed to be strict silence to allow for a calm environment, too many people ignored that rule and it wasn't enforced strictly enough. I would suggest going mid-week when it's not a holiday.

I visited during peak season, on Boxing Day. I had made a reservation for the Thermal Journey even though it was extra pricey, but I didn't want to be turned away. I brought a novel with me and read it in the hot pools, solariums, and at the outdoor firepits. I had an extremely relaxing day. There was a wait to use a shower stall at the end of my visit but it was fine.
I did encounter one unpleasant experience. The lady working at the food counter was very rude. I ordered a drink and sandwich for lunch, and handed her my phone to deduct from my gift card. She asked, "Would you like to leave a gratuity?" I was surprised as this was not a sit down restaurant with waiters. When I politely declined, the lady gave me a look and repeated very loudly and in a condescending tone, "You do NOT want to leave a gratuity?" I was so taken aback but didn't say anything as I didn't want her to spit in my food. I had planned to go back to the counter afterwards to order a dessert but I was so turned off that I decided not to order dessert after all.
I removed one star from my experience because of that lady.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your visit on Boxing Day. We’re delighted to hear that you had an overall relaxing day enjoying the Thermal Journey, soaking in the hot pools, and unwinding by the firepits with your novel.
That said, we sincerely apologize for the unpleasant experience you had at the bistro. We strive to provide excellent service in all aspects of our facility, and it’s disheartening to hear that our staff member made you feel uncomfortable. This is not reflective of the warm and welcoming environment we aim to create for all our guests. Your feedback regarding the gratuity interaction has been noted, and we will address this with our team. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
We appreciate your honest review and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and offer the full calming environment we promote.

Went early on a mid-week morning in mid-June. Not crowded. Plenty of parking early in day. Just loved this place. And the no-talking, no devices policy really made this a place to calm your mind. Fun trying out all the choices for hot, cold and relaxation spots. Especially enjoyed Hammock Heaven with views of the valley. Hope to make it back.

My husband and I got two massages and sat in the pools and sauna for two additional hours. Our rate was $1000.
The massages were good, but the same level of good as my favorite Thai massage therapist in the city for $50 rather than the $250 charged here.
The dressing rooms were fitlhy, dangerous and unsightly. The feminine hygiene disposal was overflowing, there were no paper towels to dry hands the first three times I used the toilet, the floor was covered in wet women's hair, there was 4' file of wet robes and towels (not exaggerating) in the middle of the floor and dozens of robes and towels discarded where one walks the entire four hours I was there.
There is a silence clause in the pool area, which is very idealistic, but not enforced. So you have 7 couples being silent and 3 couples just conversing in "hushed" voices and because everyone else is so silent, you can hear every word the conversing couples are saying and - do we chime in on their discussion? Do we ignore the silence clause too? Do we become the enforcers and add to the awkward vibe that already exists?
All in all, the grounds are gorgeous and the massage was good. I'd forgive the filthy, dangerous, unsightly dressing room and the awkward bathing vibes if the rate was $300 or less for the four hours, but $1000 for that experience? Can not recommend and won't be back.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the aspects of your visit that fell short of your expectations. Your feedback is invaluable, and we take it very seriously.
We’re glad to hear you found the grounds beautiful and enjoyed your massages. That said, we are deeply sorry that the cleanliness of the dressing rooms and the atmosphere in the pool area did not meet the high standards we strive to uphold. These details are crucial to creating a relaxing and luxurious experience. Please be assured your comments have been shared with our managements teams for further consideration.
We are glad to hear you wanted to embrace the silence, we believe this time to disconnect is an important aspect of the thermal journey experience. We are very sorry to hear this policy was not respected by other guests and this disrupted your experience. We will connect with our spa experience team to ensure they are monitoring the facilities.
Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention and we hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back for a more relaxing experience in the future.

The Thermal Journey was far too busy, the changing rooms are like being back at school with limited showers, definitely not enough for the amount of people allowed in.
The sauna room was constantly full, we did not get chance to use the sauna but did find a seat in the steam room. The hot pools were full and finding a comfortable space to relax was difficult, hence relaxing not possible.
At 330 Canadian dollars this should be a luxury experience and it’s a shame because the massage was excellent.
Rubber flip flops or slippers would be a nice touch.

Photos are very inviting but not as relaxing as offered. we made reservation around 10:30h we arrived there were just 10 cars on parking lot. Start was good. 2 hrs later it was crowded and 100 cars on parking lot - Why do you make reservations? for us was not peaceful and relaxing.
everything was busy from pools to saunas etc.... sorry, didn't measure up to our standards. Pro no kids, no phone, no talking.

Decided on a cloudy afternoon, we tried our luck and it went well: possibility to access and also have a massage. Having arrived at 17.30 they gave us a 20% discount since they close at 21, but we managed to do everything. There are multiple saunas, multiple hot tubs, at least 3 reaction tanks at different temperatures and 2 Turkish baths. In addition there are several relaxation areas with hammocks, around burning braziers, on swinging wooden deckchairs and also several indoor x rest areas. Excellent opportunity to drink fresh water at the exit of the various environments. A bathrobe and 2 wipes are provided but not slippers. The environment is well cared for and supervised but especially in the midst of a breathtaking landscape among the pines with only the sound of water in the background. The massage was regenerating and relaxing to conclude on a high note. Unfortunately for policy you can not bring electronic tools and therefore impossible to take photos, even if someone did them anyway. 3 hours is enough. Unforgettable.

A wonderful experience, winter spring, summer or fall. I’ve been a few times and always enjoy the quiet solitude and beautiful surroundings. My massage was fantastic and I would not miss an opportunity if I was in Whistler at any time of year.

This is the most relaxed I have ever been. In Australia we have the peninsula hot springs but they pale in comparison the the setup at Scandinave.
Top points for me were that you must be over 18 to enter - well done!!!!! and that no"tech" is allowed - this includes kindles or other e readers. How great to not be distracted by our phones.
My day started at 10.30 with a soak and cold pluge, followed by a massage. Dont worry about carrying money to tip as you can fill out a card and have your tip added to your day. After this I headed to one of the quiet rooms to enjoy the blissful feeling post massage. I was really suprised that everyone there was very respectful of coming in and leaving rooms and pools with minimal noise. There are signs everywhere saying "no talking" and there was only one couple all day that annoyingly ingnored this. Everyone else was very quite.
The spa has great views and multiple hot and cold pool options as well as steam and sauna and various relaxtion spaces indoors and out. There is a water station as well as a herbal tea station that are included but if you are there longer than expected, inside the main building as a cafe with plenty of food and drink options.
I hope that I will be able to come back here one day - it was a true highlight of my trip from Australia.

I spent the morning here after a last minute booking and had a wonderful experience. I could feel myself relaxing as soon as I entered. The massage was amazing and I loved the various relaxation areas. Maybe it was because I came early on a weekday but I found it wasn't too full compared to other places I've been. I really enjoyed the no talking and no phones policy and thought the whole place was very well maintained. The views added to the whole experience. If I didn't live so far away I'd definitely be back.

Does the spa open through summer, mainly August? Their website seems to suggest not but other sites do so I'm a little confused!
