Heaven on earth
Sep. 2021 • Friends
Wow!! This place really exceeds my expectations every time. I used to go to Harrison hotsprings but the last time they had too many drunken people too close together with so much noise. This place is the opposite... relaxing, calm and restorative. I have done this 2x in the last few weeks and have taken different friends each time and we all leave at the end of the day so relaxed and happy. My top tip is ensure you use the towel really well as I'd you get ghe robe wet you are uncomfortable all day.

Disappointed with how crowded the pools were
Sep. 2021
We were really looking forward to this and were quite disappointed. Covid aside, this place was just way too busy (and we had a bath reservation for 2pm). The hot pools (and there are only 2 as the rest are cold and basically no one goes in them) were very small and just too crowded. We didn't find them relaxing at all. And unfortunately the steam rooms require you to wear masks, which I completely understand, but it didn't make it comfortable. The only part that we actually liked was Hammock Haven - which wasn't even well marked and we only stumbled upon it by accident (but make sure you check it out if you end up going - great views from there).

Must Do Whistler Spa!
Aug. 2021
We had the day at the Spa, but unfortunately, due to staff shortages there was no food for purchase. We used the hot and cold plunge pools, but didn't stay long as the loungers were all taken. We did book a massage while we were there and would definitely do this again. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as they called us when space became available for the massage appointment.

Remember to arrive 30-45 mins early :(
Sep. 2021 • Couples
Our RMT appointment was at 1030am and we arrived at 1025am. There was a line outside for check in so we waited. About 5 mins later the service rep asked if anyone had reservation and we said yes and he told us to just walk in. The couple in front of us also had a reservation so they filled in the waiver separately on 2 iPads that was provided. They took about 5 mins to figure all things out and then was my turn. I was quick knowing that my massage appointment was up. Then I waited in line, I was the only one there and I saw 3 reps. Two was helping a family and looked like they had to figure something out on the computer. One rep was free, she looked at me but instead of helping me, she decided to pick up the phone that just rang. Then another rep finally decided to help me at 10:40am, I told her my booking was at 10:30am but she still told a long time to check in. Fine, I was upstairs for my appointment finally at 10:50am, the massage therapist gave me a checklist to fill out, I was on the massage bed at 10:53am. She asked if I want anywhere to focus on and didn’t tell me that my treatment would end at 11:30am sharp. If she had told me earlier I would told her my focus point. Yes I know we didn’t arrive early for the treatment but was not told that I have to check in half an hour early. And even if I was late, which I wasn’t, the therapist should at least inform me of the shorten treatment time. I paid $252 X 2 and it wasn’t an enjoyable experience. I felt rush and not relax. The two stars was for the steamed room which was amazing.

If you decide to visit make sure you arrive early. I say at least 30-45 mins earlier. Also there was a lot of people in the pool around noon so beware.

Relax to the max
Sep. 2021 • Couples
My wife and I had a super relaxing time at this spa. As previous reviewers no doubt mentioned, there are several areas on the property to “heat, cool then relax”. At the end of our 3 or so hours we were extremely relaxed and feeling great. I really enjoyed the whole philosophy behind the spa, the space itself is beautiful, the atmosphere, silence, facilities- all really good. We both agreed we’ll be keen on returning once it’s safer to be indoors with others. Along those lines, I’d give 5 stars if I saw some high touch surface cleaning, and had the security in knowing I’d be safe inside in steamy rooms with no ventilation. That said, really enjoyed it and can’t wait to return

Most Relaxing Three Days.
Aug. 2021
Just spent the most relaxing three days with my daughter who also enjoyed the entire experience. The silence was most welcome. Hot tubs an absolute pleasure. Best of all were massages by Mary Ann. So gentle. So thorough. The massage professional was especially considerate of my 88 years.
Spent time in sun and shade reading in complete peace. Even lost some unwanted weight in the process. I'll be back!

Good spa, beautiful spot, will gladly return!
Mar. 2021
My first visit to Scandinave Spa was in late March, and it was really enjoyable! Easy booking process online, the staff were very helpful over the phone as well as while there; the facilities were better than expected actually. For some reason, when booking, it looked to me to be on the smaller side, but the number of pools, relaxation rooms, fire pits etc was more than sufficient. We booked late and so they didn’t have massage spots available anymore, but the day-stay itself was super relaxing and enjoyable, to the point that it was hard to leave. I would plan for at least 3-4 hours to enjoy yourself and relax properly. The COVID-19 precautions were very visible on site, from people wearing masks when indoors (i.e. in steam rooms), to staff frequently cleaning all handles, doors etc. We visited as a couple and had a great time. I am hoping to return to Scandinave when in the area, and would highly recommend this spa to others.

Not a good first experience...
Mar. 2021 • Family
The showers and restrooms were dirty and needed renovating. In order to have sandals you need to buy them, make sure you bring your own pair. We were not allowed to have two robes so you had to carry around a wet robe, where you put the wet towels was way out of the way, very inconvenient. The food and drinks were not very good, I ordered a latte but the milk was off and when I ordered a second one, it was no better. My masseuse was very nice, the massage was very relaxing. The staff seemed irritated when we asked for directions and help. Overall, my experience was mediocre/poor, this was my first time at the spa and I left feeling unimpressed.

Hi 928abbeym, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that you felt the changerooms needed renovating as we just completed a renovation under a year ago. While we can only offer one robe we do offer unlimited towels so that guests can ensure they have something nice and dry if the robe is getting too wet. Our feedback on staff is generally very good so I am really sorry to hear that they seemed irritated to you. I think that the situation that we are all living with is wearing everyone down and they are responsible for ensuring our guests can stay as safe as possible so the spa day is relaxing and COVID protocols are being followed. Hopefully we can welcome you back soon.

Spa or Prison?
Jan. 2021 • Friends
We were greeted by a pretty miserable gal who gave a covid run down. Made sure to state they can ask us to leave if we get 2 warnings, just felt unwelcoming and strange.

We go from the steam into one of the cold pools, I get in and my gf is too nervous so I’m trying to coach her. We’re less than an arms length away talking quietly as I get her into the right mind to enter the cold. No one is around us. One the silence people come and puts her finger on her lips and SHUSHES me! Like I was a teenager in a movie theatre not a paying guest!

Then we’re sitting alone in one of the saunas and the same girl makes it a point to come in and tell us we need to wear our masks inside. We’re ALONE in a SAUNA. Like it’s hard breathing in there without a mask. She went out of her way to open the door just police us.

We were taking a picture in the cafe (only place you can have phones) where everyone isn’t wearing their masks. And we were told if we’re not eating we need to wear our masks....like covid knows we’re not eating? Strange that there are pictures people have took at the spa but they were so strict with me.

I went up to the spa to relax and have a good time. My experience was not enjoyable due to the excessive and abrupt/rude policing. Not the spot for me, would not go again. Very disappointed to be a paying guest and to be treated like a prisoner.

Gave two stars as the facility was nice, even though a couple things were closed off or not working (one part of of a hot tub and at least one of the features)

Hi Shailin622, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm sorry that you felt that our COVID-19 protocols were overly restrictive. Our number one priority is providing a safe and rejuvenating experience for our guests. We understand that it can feel excessive to have to wear your mask even when apart from other guests but to avoid any confusion or grey areas we have committed to the wearing of masks in all indoor spaces. I can assure you that our staff takes no joy in enforcing these protocols, but it is essential for us to maintain a safe experience for you and other guests and to be able to remain open as a haven of relaxation for others. Hopefully, you will be able to join us for a visit after COVID-19 to experience our spa without these protocols in place.

So serene !! What a beautiful spot! I had a massage from a student not an rmt It was amazing I was so sore from the slopes and she really paid attention to all the aches and pains
I think her name was Sophie
You don’t need to bring your own robe if you have a massage but DO bring flip flops
This was a great way to spend 3 hours
