My wife and I were hoping to repeat the salmon bake tour we did 3 years ago but they’re unable to run it because of COVID restrictions so we decided to book onto the Call of the Wild tour instead. It was amazing. Ended up in a small group of 3 plus the guide Sean (who was excellent!) so managed to keep up a good pace throughout the tour.

We checked in in the centre of Whistler and they bussed us to Callaghan valley then fitted us for helmets and goggles. Had a quick recap on how to ride then quickly set off on the trip. The ride was a good mix of faster roadways and more technical single track which kept it interesting.

I’m really glad we did this tour instead of repeating the one we had done before - this was more about ATVing whereas the other one is more about going out for dinner in a really cool way.

My wife and I have both quad-biked just a couple of times before so you don’t need a lot of experience to handle this tour and I would definitely recommend it!

I was reluctant to sign up for a snowmobiling tour.
1) It seemed expensive
2) I'd be doing it alone
3) I had never snowmobiled before

Still, I decided to do it anyway. I didn't ski or snowboard. If I wanted to see Whistler it was going to have to be by snowmobile. I selected Canadian Wilderness Adventures because they had such great reviews. I'm so glad I did. Michelle was our tour guide. She was so patient and sweet the entire time. She checked on everyone often. She took some pretty awesome pictures of everyone. She even kneeled down in the snow just to get a great shot of us. She was awesome.

If you are a first time snowmobiler or if you're are doing it by yourself or with a group, I totally recommend Canadian Wilderness Adventures. Everyone is super sweet and helpful. You won't be disappointed.

This was one of the highlights of our week long skiing, snowboarding, tubing and hiking vacation! The staff and guides were wonderful to deal with from start to finish. Each one of them took personal responsibility to ensure we were getting the most out of the adventure. The snowmobiling was a blast, and our guide Mac, was the absolute best!!! He kept us safely within our riding limits, while at the same time ensuring even the experienced snowmobilers got to enjoy the sporty riding. The food and service at the hut was again outstanding, plenty of staff ensures our cups of hot chocolate were always full, and we never ran out of fondue food. We were also entertained with a guitar playing guide that was top notch!! We would definitely do again!!!

This was my second tour with Canadian Wilderness Adventures. My first was in 2019 on the Call of the Wild ATV tour through the Callaghan valley. If you are an advanced 4wheeler looking for a guided thrill I would highly recommend this. Splashing through puddles at high speed and riding over rough terrain. The staff were amazing. Quick, efficient and professional. One of our tires popped at the top of the mountain and they handled it with ease.

My second time with Canadian Wilderness was August 20th this year. My boyfriend and I did the salmon bake tour at the top of the mountain. Super scenic, smooth ride up the mountain. Beautiful views and amazing food. The staff were so beyond kind and just contribute to the best service and guide experience anyone could ever ask for. Every time I go to whistler im sure to book a tour with this company and recommend them to others.
Ps. Make sure to bring tips! These men and women deserve it. We unfortunately were unaware we should have but it is well deserved for these staff.
Best tours ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had such a great time on our snowmobile tour and mountaintop fondue dinner. Our guide Alessandro was very friendly and all of the staff were great.

Snowmobiling up Blackomb at night was a very cool experience, and the four-hour round trip was well worth the price point.

I would highly recommend Canadian Wilderness Adventures to anyone looking for a fun Whistler experience.

We visited and attended the beginner level tour with younger children. Although for obvious safety the children are not allowed to ride the skidoos, as passengers they both agreed this was a vacation highlight. Our guide " Drew " was extremely experienced, ever approachable and made the great activity and outstanding one. Thanks Drew and Canadian Wilderness Adventures.

Add this to your must do list of activities in Whistler. Our family of four took a half day break from skiing to do the 1 hour dog sledding trip (two hours total including transport to and from Callaghan Valley) and we were not disappointed. From the check in and pickup, the trip to and from and the sledding itself, we could not fault the experience, friendliness and professionalism of Canadian Wilderness Adventures. The dogs are exceptionally friendly and well behaved but get your ears prepared for the significant ramp up in noise as their excitement levels rise prior to the trip! A stunning and unique way to travel through the forest trails - the dogs are given plenty of rest time and it is amazing how quiet they become when they start pulling the sled. The kids got a chance to "mush" and loved it. Thoroughly recommended activity.

Wow!! What a great way to spend an afternoon! We met our guide Sean Murphy outside the Eagle Lodge along with the other riders. We were all given masks (if you didn’t already have one) and taken to the bus to be transported to the Callaghan Valley (about 15-20mins) where we were fitted for helmets and given a brief training on how to start/stop our ATV.
My husband and I had already been on a tour with Canadian Wilderness a few years ago, so knew what to expect. There was only one other person in our group so we were able to start our tour fairly quickly from arrival and do the beginner course so that the guide could make sure we were all comfortable riding the ATVs. We went through beautiful sections of the mountain, tighter forest trails, rugged stoney logging roads and then to a beautiful view point before we made our decent back to where we started.

This trip is well worth the money and I would highly recommend it! Our guide Sean was amazing and was able to recommend other activities and places to go in Whistler for food and drinks etc.

My boyfriend and I went on a day trip to Whistler during our anniversary trip to Vancouver. We wanted to do something unique while we were there, so we thought dog sledding would be a fun experience.

Once you get to Callaghan Valley, there's a cabin where you can store your belongings and borrow all kinds of winter gear. Make sure you're warm because it gets really cold out there! Before sledding, you get to meet and play with each of dogs pulling your sled, many are rescues and have their own stories! Afterwards, you get settled in your sled, laying down with a bunch of blankets while the dogs pull you through the snow. It's cozy, but definitely take the chance to drive in the back with the guide too (you won't regret it)! Our guide was super nice and talkative throughout the whole ride, very knowledgeable and you can definitely see her love for the doggies. The entire ride is about ~1 hour total with breaks in-between, so you have lots of opportunities to take photos. They also have their own photographer too, so you can purchase them at the end if you'd like.

Overall, Canadian Wilderness Adventures has wonderful staff, they were very helpful and friendly during our entire experience. One last thing, the shuttle usually takes about ~30 minutes each way, but it was a little rough on the way back. We ended up missing our shuttle back to Vancouver at 7pm, due to high volume of traffic caused by the snow. The dog sledding itself was definitely worth it 100% though!

We really enjoyed our Wilderness Snowmobile tour. The customer service at this company is incredible, everyone is so friendly and willing to answer your questions or concerns over chat, phone and as you are checking in.

As with any tour, I’d recommend you call them to understand what your meets your groups’ expectations and machine knowledge levels as they have a variety of tours.

Our guide made us feel very safe and was very cognizant of the different comfort levels in the group. We ended up on a tour with only two other people so social distancing was easy but even if there were more people there were appropriate measures in place.

We will definitely be back next time we’re in Whistler - this time for a longer tour so we can enjoy even more beautiful scenery.
