I took the AST 1 course this weekend with Mountain Skills Academy and it met and exceeded all my expectations! Day one was a classroom session and the 8 hrs went by quite quick with the instructors mixing up slideshows, videos and smaller group assignments. Day 2 we meet at the lifts, got divided into smaller groups and then headed... More

I tried their via Ferratta day trip with guide Daniel o'Keefe and totally enjoyed it. Firstly, I was impressed that they didn't cancel the tour in spite of the fact that I was the only client on that hour. Secondly, we were able to arrange the tour at an earlier time so I have more than enough time between my... More

After doing this I feel like I could do anything. I don’t have a fear of heights, but this was intense. We had a wonderful guide name Patrick. I would not have made it without Patrick. This tour is the real deal. There are times that you are actually holding on to and standing on the edge of rocks. If... More

Led by a friendly and passionate guide (Patrick) he took four of us up the approx 3 hr journey up the gondolas to the top then the via ferrata. Safety was fully explained as well as efficient climbing up the rock face. Great fun and recommended for anyone of any ability. Separate lift pass required which can also be used... More

My mum and I were lucky enough to be the only ones on our 9:00AM Via Ferrata tour with Junichi! He was so knowledgable of many facts and made the experience fun. He was such an amazing guide and made sure that my mum and I were safe the entire time. He also took photos as we were climbing and... More

My partner and I had a great time climbing this mountain via Ferrata. We were lucky to have a small group of 5 so we got to climb quite quickly and weren't held up. I'd happily do it again.

Not sure why I thought this was a good idea for my 13 year old daughter and I but I'm glad we did it! Amazing experience that is both taxing and exhilarating all at the same time. Having never done anything like this it was a bit outside my comfort zone but awesome to make it to the top scaling... More

Maya our guide was friendly and provided the right balance between instruction and letting people climb. This was a challenging few hours of hard work but the views and enjoyment made it an absolute essential part of any outdoor experience in Whistler.

Our family has done some pretty cool things over the years but as a family tied together with Gavin and climbing up a glacier was one of the best things we have ever done. Teamwork, hiking, climbing for all of us. It was great. Gavin was especially terrific.

We booked this trip without doing too much research. Looking back, maybe this was good, because the tour was challenging and we might have chickened out... But this was just amazing. The climb, the view, the feel, the nature, crossing the snow fields in summer and climbing all the way to the top. And for the kids to pull this... More
