This is one NOT TO BE MISSED. there are 3 lakes formed from the waters of glaciers. The lower falls, middle falls and upper falls. Lower falls is just few mins from parking

The middle falls is 2.5 KMs and will easily take around 2 hours to reach there. The lake is so clear that you can take symmetrical images of mountains from this lake.

On way to upper lake, you will also get to see a small but beautiful falls.

The upper late is another 15 mins from middle lake. but its all worth going to the top. you will see glacier top mountains and water coming down to the lake... amazing views.

Note:
1. No mobile connectivity at this park. you may download offline maps before coming to this destination.
2. Be care full while trekking down as the route could very slippery. I myself tripped multiple times... :)

The park rangers were very nice and helpful. The path offers some nice views even beside the lakes. There are toilettes at every lake.

Intermediate level hike with amazing views of the lakes and hiking poles will certainly help but not necessary. Arrived at 11am on a weekday and able to get a parking spot. Hike took about 3.5 hours. Heard some bear bells on hiker's bags but honestly, the trail is so busy with people traffic. You're more likely to secure a weekend day pass an hour after it opens than you are to run into a bear.

If you are in whistler, this is a must do! We went to all three lakes for a total hiking time of 3.5 hours (30 minutes at the third lake taking in the view). We DID see bears in the distance, a momma black bear and two cubs, so definitely be mindful of wildlife. Running shoes or hiking shoes are a must! Same with bug spray.

I hate to promote this as it's already gotten so busy that you now need to register beforehand to get a free pass to hike it. (This is to control the number of people on the trail.) But it is a beautiful hike between 3 lakes, with a very steep and IMO rigorous uphill section between the first and second lake. Dress properly for hiking with durable footwear and take water! If you are in moderate shape, you'll be fine and rewarded with the most beautiful views ad scenery along the way.

Really beautiful views of Middle Lake. Quite the climb up but worth it!! The walk down is easier. We arrived around 2pm and got a spot in the main parking lot.

We went there May 26 and the trail was still covered with snow, and so we only went to the Lower Lake. Said lake was still partially icy and it didn't have the blueish color that people talks about. Probably best to come early June or mid-June so you can hike all the way up to the Upper Lake. But keep in mind, it gets really crowded during the summer.

The trail is pretty rocky and took us about 3.5 hours rt, with stops at each lake. The colors of the lakes are beautiful and so crystal clear, though they're more emerald green than the blue that's in the photo they advertise. Well worth it but it is uphill the entire way up. Downhill is easier on the heart but hard on the knees! The views are worth it!

Go there an see all of the three lakes, but use the right shoes. The rests of winter made both ways up and down very tricky.
