Stunning views
Oct. 2021
Incredible views at each of the lakes and along the way. We were lucky to even have some snow falling as we ascended. Definitely worth every step.

Seeing is believing
Sep. 2021 • Family
You have to see it to believe it . If the three lakes we like the second one the best and the 3rd and last lake provides a front row seat to the beautiful glacier. We started at 7 am to avoid the crowd which was a lot while we were coming down. There is no point going on the hike without proper footwear otherwise you are sure to hurt yourself or give up; it is quite rocky, especially between the second and third lake.

Incredible landscapes
Sep. 2021
This is definitely a workout. My wife is very fit and I am in decent shape, but there are definitely some difficult vertical stretches. But we had perfect fall weather and the views were amazing. Worth the hike!

Unbelievable
Sep. 2021 • Couples
This has to be the prettiest place I have ever seen. The hike can feel long as going to the middle lake is a lot of uphill walking and the hike to the upper lake and campground are more challenging as you are climbing through many Boulder gardens however you will be rewarded with the most speculative views. You may question the photos you see if they are real and I am telling you, the lakes are as blue and as gorgeous as you see in all the photos. Yes you do have to have a day pass to go, that are free, and they do have someone there checking before you even can get onto the trail so screenshot your reservation number as you will have no signal up here. We went earlier which was worth it as we did not encounter many crowds until our decent.

Joffre Amazing lake
Sep. 2021 • Family
Amazing turquoise colour of the three lakes. It’s half an hour drive from Pemberton to north. It’s about 15 km uphill which need slow driving. Parking there is almost full all the summer times and usually needs online booking to start hiking. The lower lake is a 5 minutes easy hike with amazing view. The middle lake is 2.5 hours hike ( easy and medium)and the upper lake is an extra hour of difficult hike. But it worth the effort.

Great hike even in the rain
Sep. 2021
This was a lovely hike even though we did it in the rain so we didn't see the views at it's best. It was still pretty spectacular.

Important to remember to get your pass as they limit the number of people. Pass is free and you do it on line the day before you are going.

The first lake is only about 500 m from the parking lake. The second lake is about 3 km and you are climbing the entire way although other than one section, it is a gradual climb. The third lake is only 1 km past that.

the hike would be okay for most fitness levels but it is a work out.

Absolutely stunning and would recommend

Nice Site to look at ...
Sep. 2021
Very calming Lake ... only managed to get to the 1st Lake and was not able to climb further due to the time it took. The travel to Joffre Lake was time consuming due to the winding roads but a good ride.

Some of the most spectacular views you will ever see, but be ready to hike.
Aug. 2021
The views are amazing and are much better in person than the photos.
We are not a hiking family and this was our first big hike. The hike is long and there is a stretch that is pretty steep and exhausting. Take a break but don't quit, you will be rewarded.
The earlier you can get there the better as the parking and the park fills up pretty quickly. The cell phone reception vanishes before you get to the park so download your park passes.
