The non-profit Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the world's fastest ice track. Since hosting the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the venue continues to grow sport as an active training and competition site. Visitors can experience the action firsthand with passenger bobsleigh (winter & summer) and skeleton rides (winter only) down parts of the 1,450 meter-long track. All proceeds from public programs go directly towards sport initiatives on the venue. Summer bobsleigh on wheels runs from June 29 to September 2, 2018, also guided walking tours are offered daily in summer. In the winter, guests can tick bobsleigh and skeleton on ice off their bucket lists, the activities will be offered again from December 2018 to the end of March 2019. Year-round, visitors can access the venue's public areas (with interpretive signage) for free sightseeing daily from 9am until 5pm (except publ. holid.). Site access is not permitted outside these hours.

I was in whistler for a ski trip last February, and was talked into skeleton sledding by a friend (who then dropped it and did bobsled only). It was an experience I’ll never forget, and something I can’t wait to try again! The staff couldn’t...More

We went here to take the summer ride down the fastest track in bobsledding. The sleds were on wheels so not as fast as in the winter. The staff was super enthusiastic and friendly. We learned a lot about the sport and had a great...More

From start to finish, this was a moving experience. My boyfriend and I do a lot of adventuring and sporting activities—we were looking for something super unique and we found it! The ride was so fast and when the G's hit I giggled so hard....More

Thanks for the great staff for a great experience. The initial presentation was as fun as it gets for a safety briefing, somehow hitting all the safety points and being entertaining. The actual experience of gaining speed down the track and feeling the G forces...More

There must be a whole lot of people out there who excite very easily... While I too was so excited to feel the g-force and the thrill of the race, in the end I felt like I was only on a kiddie ride that lasted...More

The staff were quite knowledgeable; went over everything in great detail. Made sure we were safe at all times. Wish the ride was longer but the video you can buy makes it worthwhile so you can watch it over and over.

It is ice in the winter and wheels in the summer. I am not sure of the changeover dates; you should call or check the website to confirm.

The summer program says $109 per person. This is, of course, for a bobsleigh on wheels – not on snow. Sometimes Groupon has discount tickets.
