My wife and I took a day trip to the Callaghan Valley from Vancouver. We purchased day passes from the user friendly website. On Monday we left at 8am and arrived around 945am. Drive was easy, traffic was light. Woman running the rental shop was very good. Pleasantly surprised to learn that as grandparents we got the Monday parents discount. ($17 off rentals). Glorious sun filled day. Perfect conditions. Spectacular scenery. All sorts of terrain to choose from. Not crowded at all as we shared to trails with a only few families. We skied for about 4 hours and ate our packed lunch brought from home about half way thru. Returned our rented skis and had an easy sunny drive home. A great day in the snow. Wonderful facility practically in our backyard.

Tricky to find with GPS. We passed the rugged entrance drive and headed up a logging road before we determined we should turn back. There were closed roads and private property signs up this way.
The falls themselves, once located, were pretty enough, but it is not a must see.

Contrary to a previous review - you do not need a 4WD to get to the falls. The falls are beautiful and worth the drive from the 99 highway. I gave the place a 5 star because of the ease of accessibility from the car park. The observation deck is at the car park with full views of the falls. We didn’t see any bears :).

This is a beautiful example of the gorgeous scenery found in Canada. The waterfall is stunning and surrounding nature is so engaging! The parking is simple- and viewing platform is easy to access. There’s a few picnic places that would make for a lovely lunch.

Beautiful falls - without the crowds! We stumbled oacross Alexander Falls around 5.00pm on evening - there were 5 people on the viewing deck and that was all!!

Sign for the falls is easy to miss.

We went the wrong way and passed approximately 20 people who had also gone that way and reported it was a dead end we eventually found the right trail and made it to the falls, it looked like most of the others had given up because only a few were down enjoying the view from the base of the falls when we got there

My husband and I went on a bear hunt in Whistler Olympic Park, which was amazing in itself, but Alexander Falls was an added bonus as we were leaving the park. It was absolutely.

Easy access. Nice waterfall. It was running strongly in May. Heard from some people that in the fall it is not as impressive.

Lots of beautiful scenery in this whole area that is worth seeing. The guides are pleasant young men who know the territory. We did not see any bears but others folks near us did.
