Having a couple first timers and parents with us we were worried about how rafting would work out. Pedro took great care of them and made the rafting trip down the river a blast! We went on the last day of the season that they’re open so the water was low and somewhat calm but still enough to get some good thrills! Will recommend to anyone, beginners and repeat rafters.

Absolutely LOVED my trip down Green River. Our guide Em was the best. She was animated while being informative. Felt very safe going down the river. Pedro was great to help us get off the rocks as well - so exciting. Thankful to have had this experience - it’s a must do while in Whistler. Highly recommend!

Really great set up. We did the rafting and zip line combo and the centre is a great place to hang between activities. Neil was a great guide in the raft and made the trip just as exciting as it needed to be for the family. Great team.

We had an exhilarating and breathtaking experience on this white water rafting excursion! A fantastic value, and so much fun! The team at Wedge were knowledgeable, fun, and made us feel very comfortable. Our guide, Fry, was fantastic! Kept us laughing, and certainly ensured our time was memorable!! Thanks to everyone at Wedge!! Definitely worth doing while in Whistler!!

Great experience that worths your time and money. Our guide Whan from Argentina is so awesome. We drove from Vancouver for this, although it’s almost the end of the season, with medium water flow, the rocks on our way actually made it even more fun. Remember to hold on when the guide asks you to, otherwise you could fall out of the raft!
Just hope they may provide picture service so we may leave something other than memory. We don’t have a go pro and didn’t bring our phone to the raft cuz we didn’t want to drop it in river. Anyways, still love the experience. Also a good test of your friendship (check who’s being lazy and not rowing hard) LoL.
I will recommend to everyone and hope my company could have it for our team build of next summer.

Had a fabulous experience white water rafting with the team here. It was all managed very well, the guys were really friendly and knowledgeable about what they were doing yet serious enough about safety. From never having done it before, to paddling down these admittedly smallish rapids provided us with such fan and a sense of adventure. A really great experience that we will treasure and remember for years. The compound does look a bit rough and ready, but ignore that and immerse yourself in a something that you will talk to your friends and family about for years.

Was advertised as a 2 hour white water rafting adventure, when in fact it was just under two hours from the time we were told how to put wetsuits on, put them on, drive to the launch spot on the lake, paddle across the lake, white water rafted for maybe 20-30 minutes, carried rafts up to trailers then drove back to get out of wetsuits. Total rafting time of 20-30 minutes should have been made clear before booking, definitely was not worth the money for this experience. Rapids were about as calm as the ones we would normally tube down on our local rivers.

We were instructed both on land and at te lake before getting to the river. Very seriously, but still with some yokes. Due to high water on the river, the river was floating very rapidly and therefor the ‘ride’ was rather shorter than expected. But nevertheless great experience

Arriving in Whistler lunchtime 5th September 18.
- Are you still operating at this time ?
- What are the water levels in the Green River at the moment , normal,above-normal,below-normal ?

Hi there,
Tours running on September 5th depend on water levels so is weather dependant. September 3rd is the last official day for rafting.
Thanks!
HI, we are a family of 7, the youngest boy is 9 years old, he will be 10 on August 14th, and we are planning to go to the rafting on August 1st, can he ride?

Hi Pau,
Thanks for your message, yes as long as he weighs over 80lbs you can raft the Green River. It's a fun class 2-3 river with splashy, bouncy rapids but nothing too extreme.
Thanks,
Karen
may i ask how many people per boat for the Elaho River?
TAG Whistler
Whistler, Canada3 contributions
Hi Vincent,
Yes it is 8 guests with 1 guide in a boat for the Elaho-Squamish River and on the Green river it is 6 guests to 1 guide.
Thanks!

Hi Ekozber,
Thanks for your question. We have A LOT of wetsuits up to a 4XL. Please just bring a swimsuit to wear underneath and a towel to dry after your experience.
Thanks! Karen

Is swimwear necessary? Me and my friend want to enjoy the rafting but we don't have any swimwear and don't wanna buy it just only for this once activity.

You may be slightly wet depending on the current and have the option of jumping into the river. However, any tight workout clothes will do as they will provide wetsuit and shoes to wear under the life vest.

We will be there June 20 and will zip line in the morning and do the rafting in the afternoon. What do you recommend we wear? I assume we shouldn't take cameras? If we rent go pros in the morning for sip lining, does the rental includes the afternoon as well?
TAG Whistler
Whistler, Canada3 contributions
Hi Momuv4boys,
For ziplining, we recommend you dress for the weather and wear comfortable, athletic clothing and closed toed shoes. If the weather is overcast and cooler then taking more layers is always a good decision and then you can remove one if you're too warm.
For rafting, all you'll need is swimwear to wear underneath the wetsuit. We'll provide you with a wetsuit, booties, a lifejacket and a helmet.
GoPro's are not available on the whitewater rafting tours because of the water but their are photos taken from the shore that are available for purchase after your tour.
GoPro rentals for ziplining are $29 which includes the SD card to take home with all of your footage.
I hope this answers your questions, please give our team a call on 1 855 824 9955 if you have any further questions.
Thanks!

We are coming from Vancouver so do we have time to take one of your rafting trips and then get back to Vancouver that same day??
Thank you

Hi Jean,
Thanks for your question.
We have a few options for you; the Elaho Squamish River and the Cheakamus River leave from Squamish and you can meet at our base area which is the Cheakamus Centre. This cuts down journey time for you.
Alternatively, the Green River which is in Whistler is a 2.5 hour round trip from Whistler village so is also an option for a day trip.
Check out the Wedge Rafting website to find out which river suits you best :)
Thanks,
Karen
