Save your money! We have been coming here for over 5 years and their quality has diminished to zero. I wasn’t happy with my services at Christmas either but thought I would give it another try. I was greeted at the front desk by a rude young receptionist. I asked for a robe since I was late and she told me no because I was 2 minutes late. I had booked Deep tissue massage and again got a young inexperienced therapist who I kept having to say harder. It was not what I paid for. Definitely not what you expect from a luxury 5 star hotel.. Then I was not allowed to use the public spa for 5 minutes after as Bonnie the manager repliement me and make me feel like I did something wrong and rushing me out in less than 30min when no one was in the spa . Allison the district manager was even worse and said I had the most senior therapists and it’s just by the rules … Disappointing experience to say the least. Save your $500 and go to the professionals in the village or the Four Seasons next door instead.

Part of the experience, especially when paying north of $250 for a 60 min massage, is the usage of the facility services. 60 min pre service is frankly rushed. It feels tounge in cheek to sell & advocate self care but to rush people through. I also think when you’re paying top tier high-end pricing it’s notunreasonable to expect access to saunas and steam rooms post treatment. For that price I should be able to sleep over lol.

While reception was extremely polite to the point of being condescending they did actually come into the sauna to basically tell me to leave. As a young mom and a busy executive I rarely get time for self care and I’m deeply disappointed in today’s experience. Like I said above it just hit wrong.

Cherry on top as I was paying I was informed I’m also not entitled to the use of a locker in the change room well using Vida spa. That was a new one for me.

Ultimately, while it feels right to let you know my honest feedback I know nothing speaks louder than word of mouth and where/ who you choose to do business with. I understand this is your deal w the hotel however there are other great spas in town with great (and frankly better) access to the overall experience which I will be choosing moving forward. If you wanna charge top dollar I expect the same type of facility and experience.

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, a grande dame of a mountain resort, rests at the base of the Pacific Coast mountain range. The Chateau is well endowed with a cadre of in/out luxury amenities, not forgetting a pinnacle facility in the form of the Vida Spa.

This sanctuary houses therapies designed in the Ayurveda philosophy which is based on an ancient Himalayan mantra of bodily healing. This pampering spa in embedded with a fine and voluminous menu of therapeutic recipes including the following:

ANTI-AGING FACIAL:...the Vida Spa's answer to the Fountain of Youth,
HOT STONE MASSAGE:...my favourite type of treatment....puts my leg muscles into ski
readiness,
SWEDISH MUSCLE EASING:... a close second to the Stone Massage for muscle relief,
TENSION TARGETING MASSAGE:..anything to de-stress is good,
SWEDISH IMMUNE BUILDER:..a hot procedure given the fact that COVID attacks the
immune system,
ESTHETICS:..(not to be confused callisthenics), is a hybrid, customizable treatment of
an array of therapeutic concoctions.

The Spa is complemented with a health club complete with state-of-the-art equipment and guided exercise programs. Water sports in the form of heated pools,
hot tubs, saunas, eucalyptus steam rooms augment the spa experience.

So, live out your Fairmont Chateau moment to the fullest with a body splurge, Himalayan style, at the Vida Spa.

One of the best facials, one of the best deep tissue massages EVER. My husband and I booked different treatments, and I cannot give enough praise. Absolutely wonderful. We frequently book treatments when we travel, which is often. We had a wonderful day at this spa, excellent treatments, and gracious staff and technicians.

Had an unpleasant experience booking massage I wanted over the phone. The manager was rude and not accommodating at all. This is the second time we wanted to stay in the hotel and relax in the spa and this is the second time they can’t accompany us. If the spa can’t accommodate the services advertised why to advertise at all?

I had been staying at the Fairmont for almost a week to ski with my family and decided a massage on my last day skiing was in order. I had been looking forward to this as my muscles from skiing were very sore. I got an appointment for a deep tissue massage. I had dinner reservations shortly after my massage so I brought my clothes and things I needed to be able to change after my treatment so I could leave directly from there. I checked in 15 minutes early already dressed in my hotel robe but thinking I would have time to put my armful off stuff (boots, bag of clothes, and thick winter jacket) in a locker area. Instead, after checking in, I was escorted in a waiting room which notably did have comfy sofas and water and tea and had the feel of a relaxation room... but I also had a load of stuff with me that was awkwardly placed by my feet until my therapist greeted me. Natalia (I believe was her name) greeted me and was very sweet and polite. I was escorted to my room and told to leave my things in the corner and to lay on the bed. She asked how I prefer the pressure and if I had any spots I needed concentrated and I just told her deep pressure is what I preferred and the whole body. When she stared the massage she put a bunch of oil on my back and it felt like a kid just finger painting all over my back. No rhyme or reason and no pressure. It wasn’t until she got to my side buttocks that she put a ridiculous amount of pressure to the point I was almost in tears it hurt so bad. When I rolled over on my back, she massaged my chest and neck and head area which was probably the most relaxing part of the whole hour but the mask covering my eyes kept awkwardly coming off until she finally took it off. When the hour was over, I realized both arms were untouched! When the treatment was over, I was walked back to the front desk with my three bags in hand, signed the bill ($200 which included a measly tip which I shouldn’t have left at all except my therapist was pleasant... just had no idea how to give a massage!), and no offering of a shower or changing room. It was then when I realized I needed to walk myself across the hall to the pool locker area and the only reason I knew it was there was because I had been there 4 days in a row prior and the only way to get access to it is with a hotel key. The spa set up was extremely disappointing and would think being associated with the Fairmont name, it would be better than that. Obviously it was just my bad luck since there are more good reviews than bad, but I felt like I got punked and the therapist was less skilled than even a student in training. I hardly leave poor reviews and try to keep them open book honest. I’m curious if anyone with the same therapist had a similar experience. I’m curious if she’s even formally trained. Overall the room had the facade of a nice spa but in the end I am more sore than I was coming in.

The perfect place for a relaxing afternoon! We booked RMT massages that were amazing! Their treatment rooms are relaixng.
Afterwards we used the outdoor pool and hot tubs to enjoy the sun and the views. We ordered some expensive beverages but noticed a lot of people had brought their own. They indicated that staff did not tell them it was not allowed so I think next time we would do this!

I come back again and again to see Marilyn. This time I had a massage and it was was awesome! It was even better than any RMT I have been to. I will be back again in the spring..... went back today in the spring and had an exfoliating detox wrap. Amazing!!!! Love this place and visit every time I come to Whistler.

I got a great combo package massage and facial from Serena. Place was high class and well run. I wasn’t a big fan of having to leave the spa, cross the hallway and use the pool locker room to change into my robe. However, you are welcome to use their amenities after your treatment- so maybe take a swim suit and check out the sauna or indoor/outdoor pool!

I really enjoyed my time here. The only negative I can think of is that there were a few children screaming and playing in the pool that took the relaxing vibe of the health club, and it is a little expensive, but its Whistler so you expect that. All in all though, lovely staff, lovely treatments and you feel very looked after. I would come again.
