We had never rented bicycles In whistler as we usually hiked around the trails and our bike rack was delayed from the store. Our plan was rent a few bicycles and browse through different bike rental places to see what fits our needs. This place was at the upper village by the lift which was a great location.

The place was somewhat busy but the staff was very efficient explaining the bike adjustment for customers and helping me book our bikes. The staff we had helping us was a Amanda and she was friendly and super courteous during the interaction.

The price to rent the bicycles was fairly reasonable and I observed them following some covid 19 mitigation by wearing proper PPE and cleaning the bicycles after it’s returned.

I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to rent bicycles around the village, trail riding, or downhill biking.

It was our first time mountain biking in Whistler and our local bike store in Victoria recommended Arbutus Routes and they did not disappoint. Our guide, Jolan, was extremely knowledgeable and super nice. He taught us all the basics and we had a lot of fun. He even adjusted the tire pressure on our bikes so that they would handle the terrain better (something we didn't even think about but made a HUGE difference). By the end of the 3-hour lesson, our 12-year old daughter was doing B-Line, and for the next few days we were able to tackle pretty much all the green and blue runs at Whistler, and the skills we learned kept us all safe. My husband had so much fun that the following week he went back to Arbutus Routes and took a jumping lesson with Alistair (also an excellent instructor) and did a jumping clinic.

This was the ultimate one stop shop for our first visit to the Whistler bike park. The bikes where VERY good and well maintained and even after multiple days of smashing and bashing the trails in the park they took it all and where ready for more.

We took a guide for the first half day and as a guide Austin was a legend. We had multiple skill levels and he helped correct our technique and showed us the best trails to ride of and then gave suggestions for the next day and a half )including a few hidden gems).

We had all the safety equipment we needed we good quality helmets, armour and even water bottles provided. They will be the first stop when we come back next year.

I attended one of the ARU clinics and had such a great time. Val is an excellent guide! With Val I felt that my biking really improved and I’m a much more confident rider. Val provided me with great coaching and advice that I can continue to follow when I go on the trail by myself.

Thank you Arbutus Routes providing the best bike clinics in Whistler and thank you Val for being such an awesome guide. I cannot wait to sign up for my next clinic!

We (a family with 2 teenage boys) hired 4 bikes over 3 days from Arbutus. They were a mixture of Yeti and Knollys.

We booked in advance (recommended). On arrival in the shop, the staff were great and our breaks and pedals were set up and ready for us to go.

Sadly on the second day I injured myself (putting my bike on the lift) and couldn't ride on the last day, we didn't expect it but Arbutus gave me a refund for my bike hire - certainly made me feel better and paid for a physio session. The bikes were well maintained and all the staff were very helpful.

Can't believe I didn't get any pictures of the bikes - sorry!

Came to whistler not knowing any routes or how to get around. Decided to get a guide with arbutus and Mitias was there to help. He personalized our 3 hour session to me and showed me techniques to improve my riding and detailed tips. It was a really fun session, would 100% recommend (especially if you don't know your way around like me).

11/10 We did the 5 hour guided ebike tour and it was fantastic! We saw so many new places in Whistler. Our guide Alistair was very knowledgeable about Whistler past and present, and also quiet funny! A great day was had by all. We will definitely be doing this again!

Excellent outfit. We rented two ebike cruisers for 4 hours and covered Green, Alta, Nita lakes, Creekside, Rainbow and return. Great prices, great bikes and excellent help from Emma at Arbutus Routes. Would definitely recommend renting here.

It was my first time in Arbutus Roots and I eceived warm, friendly and helpful customer service. I rented a Yeti which was the perfect bike for Whistler's playful and diverse trails. I would recommend this store to any mountain bike friends passing through Whistler.

My wife and I took a mountain biking lesson with Val. She was simply awesome! Very knowledgeable, great communicator and instructor, she encouraged us to excel. Thanks to her, at the end of the lesson we were doing runs we thought would the entire season to conquer. We had a great time!
