Have visited this store previously without reviewing it. Back in Whistler and needed a few new things so I went there once again. The staff are very helpful and polite, amongst other things I purchased new ski poles, a few days later my ski instructor suggested I needed shorter poles to ski with, so I returned to discuss it with the staff who happily exchanged my then used poles with a new pair of shorter ones.
I have purchased boots previously through the store boot fitter Barry and even a couple of years later he is happy to make minor adjustments on them!
Certainly second to none with the customer service.

I went for a ski vacation at Whistler/Blackomb with the family in April 2018 and wanted to demo some top of the line skis. I researched a bunch of places and glad I chose Whistler Village Sports. They had a good selection including some of the ones I wanted to demo. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave me some additional information on other skis I may like. I wanted to try numerous models during my 3 day stay and they were very good at hooking me up quickly and allowing me to switch out skis as much as I wanted. They are also very conveniently located at the base of the mountain so I could just ski down, run into the shop with my boots on and be out with a new pair in 5 or 10 minutes.

My objective was to find out what skis I liked and then buy a pair next season since I didn't want to spend the money now, but they gave me such a great deal that I bought 2 pairs on the spot; one for me and one pair for my son who has outgrown his junior skis. I literally got these skis for about half the price they were selling for during the after season sales back home in the Pocono Pennsylvania area.

I bought my son a pair of ski boots from this store in 2016. They had a great selection and a lot of sale items making great deals. Unfortunately there was an error in sizing by one of the young staff members which wasn't realised until my son used them this year when we took our annual ski trip (this time in Europe). I contacted the store to inform them of this error and they immediately dealt with the issue by refunding me for the boots and the in soles that had been separately purchased. Despite this error the store gave excellent service and recovered the problem straight away and without any fuss. Thanks whistler village sports!!!

We are in this shop many times in the summer for small bike repairs [the DH park is hard on equipment] and they are always friendly and do a great job.

went in to get my existing boots adjusted and walked out with new boots. Barry correctly sized me, created a new foot bed, drew my foot on a piece of paper and sent me away. I returned the next day with trepidation but the darn things fitted like a glove. Barry told me a few do's and don't s and how to respond whilst they bedded in over a few days. I dutifully did what I was told. THE RESULT - FANTASTIC. I am now connected with my skis. What I wish my feet to do they do: turn, edge, slide forward & backward to micro adjust my stance. Thanks guys Money well spent

I visited in summer , it is very nice I like the outdoor activities and my kids as well , there are alpine slide but was very short not like the one in Montreal Mount sauvier which was really more enjoyable. But it is nice to have the kids there after the gondola riding.

Well my friend wanted me to see the country side of Canada so we took a day trip to Whistler Village, BC Home of the 2010 Olympics. From Richmond it is about a 2 hour drive with no stops. We stopped in Squamish for about an hour to eat a scrumptious lunch at Fortune Kitchen.

The drive up through the mountains was very pleasant. It is unique because they cut the road out of the mountains which originally went all the way down to the ocean. So as you are driving up the mountains and down the mountains you get a constant view of the ocean right below you with the mountains surrounding you. Sometimes the road is close to the same level as the ocean. Truly breathtaking. Because Canada is going through a drought right now, there was not much snow on the mountains. But they are still lovely to look at.

Once at Whistler we went to Whistler village. This is like going to ski lodge village with no snow. Lots of hiking, ski activities (when there is snow) biking, hiking, nature, hiking, shops, did I say hiking and biking. Ok, so you get the picture.

Since I am not a nature person per se – once around a park (less than 1/3 mile) and I am good I asked my friend what the attraction was. She said a lot of people bike, hike (LOL) and relax. She said many Canadians came here because their dollar was so bad off right now it was cheaper to stay within their own country at this time and Whistler was affordable and a nice place to relax. Yeah I could see that with all the nature around. People kept saying Oooh Maybe You Will See A Bear – Yeah this Boston/SC Transplant can do without that experience or adventure. Can you see me NOW – LMAO.

Anyway, Whistler village has many lodging, shopping, drinking and eating establishments. It is located right off 99 and is self-contained.

It was a pleasant day trip and If I skied, hiked, biked or wanted to see a BEAR this would be the place to do it.
