Wonderful e-bike tour. Probably the most beautiful trail I’ve ever ridden. The trail is mostly paved and well maintained. Equipment was in outstanding condition. Guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. This is not a tour for younger children or people without solid bike riding skills. The e-bikes by nature are much heavy than a manual bike and during the summer season the trails are very crowded. Controlling the e-bike and avoiding pedestrians and other bikers is important. Note those precautions and have a great time. It’s worth every penny.

This was our second time out with Ash and again he created an amazing afternoon.

Ash has so much knowledge of the area. He's friendly to everyone and really adjusts for the group so everyone has fun.

A must do in Whistler!

We booked this tour because of the reviews. Ash and Paddy are often mentioned.

We met Paddy- seemed great. Really engaging and informative. He took one group of guests and we were introduced to Ethan.

Oh how I wish I had left then. Ethan was quite simply useless. He said zero, zip, nada, nothing. He cycled ahead of us. That was his job. I cannot imagine anything less like a “curated tour” than what we got.

He stopped three times. One stop he said “this is where the seaplane lands”

One stop he said “the washrooms are up there”

He was truly, truly awful. He hates his job and has no interest in the customers.

I tried engaging with him to get something out of him. I asked him about the golf course we were cycling past. He literally”said “I used to work there, I quit”. That was his “curated tour guide knowledge.

Not one piece of information about Whistler, the areas we were passing - nothing.

It would have been better to rent a bike, look at the map and pedal it ourselves.

No-one in our group left a tip. Appalling. It seems to be all down to the guide. Avoid Ethan.

Have been having a wonderful holiday in Canada and Alaska until today!! We have had a number of excellent cycle tours so far on our trip so decided to do one in Whistler. What a mistake!!

We booked the tour a few days in advance and were emailed the day before asking if we would switch from 9am to 12 noon. We replied saying we could do that no problem.
Our “guide” was called Ash and here are the main issues we experienced:-
* only 3 stops on the entire 2.5 hour tour so very little information about Whistler and surrounding area or photo opportunities. When I said to Ash 1-2-1 that I felt we needed to be given more information, he said he didn’t feel well so wasn’t up to it today!!
* two of our group fell behind Ash and the other three of us but he didn’t stop to wait for them.
* one lady fell off her bike when we were standing waiting to cross the road. Ash showed absolutely no concern for her, indeed the others in the group helped the lady up with her (heavy) electric bike. Ash then just rode away with us following.
* on two occasions he left us (for 5-15 minutes each time) and said he had to go somewhere.

I checked that all the others in the group (two from Canada and one from Denmark) felt the same as my wife and I and gave him feedback at the end. He showed no interest and even failed to apologise when invited to do so. He told us to get away and never come back. We reported this very first negative experience of our extensive trip to Tourist Information so that they are aware of the attitude of this guide (and possibly his company). A very rude and arrogant man, completely opposite to everyone else we have met in Whistler and beyond.

The positives are:-
* the 15 mile route was mainly off road and excellent.
* the bikes were fairly new and excellent.

Clearly, the tour should have been cancelled if the guide wasn’t feeling well. There are plenty other cycle tours in the area so I’d suggest to shop elsewhere if you are thinking of a tour.

I called Whistler eBikes last minute to see if I could join a tour - and they told me they'd make it work which was awesome!

Our group had 9-10 people in it and we were assigned to a variety of e-bikes (from commuter/cruiser style bikes to mountain bikes). We were given a few minutes to ride around the parking lot and get familiar with the bikes before we set off on our tour.

As long as you know how to balance on and pedal a bike, anyone of just about ANY fitness or skill level could take this tour. The bikes make it SO EASY.

Our tour lasted a little over 2hrs with a couple of stops along the way. The group gets kind of spread out along the trail but our guide made sure to keep an eye on everyone. At each stop our guide gave us some information/background on where we were and what we were looking at.

I have visited Whistler many times and was really glad I decided to jump on this tour because it gave me a chance to see parts of the valley trail I haven't yet seen! We covered a lot of ground (28km) in a pretty short amount of time!

I would highly recommend this tour for ANYONE looking for an outdoor activity that isn't too extreme or strenuous.

We wanted to try electric bikes, so we decided to give it a go with our two kids 18&15. The tour was informative and riding the bikes was a lot of fun! Think we did about 28km, but was super easy with minimal effort, thanks again for a great day!

Enjoyed a great afternoon riding around Whistler. Dan our guide did a great job getting us ready and starting us on our way. The bikes definitely help pick up the slack when your legs were tired. The valley trails are well marked and we never worried about being lost. The sites and beauty we saw only came from being on the bikes and riding the trails. Thanks Whistler Ebikes for a great afternoon!!!

On the way back, the owner/guide made a turn without checking that everyone else made that turn. 3 out of 4 of us didn't! We wound up going miles in the wrong direction. When I criticized him at the end of the ride, he said that it wasn't his job to babysit us. WTF? He's the guide!

He also led us through a construction site with a very narrow area between metal pieces and one person fell -- two blocks into the trip. You decide if you want to use this company.

Well, I think Paul G was angry in Canada b4 he got here. The crazy part was, he was the co-pilot. The construction area he comments about, as I explaned to him, was the annual Ski/Snoboard xtravavaganda on Thanksgiving, where all the local shops offer there products and services to the visiting public b4 the season, as gr8 values. We r hopeful that everyone that comes here, brings love, because that’s what all Canadians are about, thats it!!
