A great place for a grand day out
Jun. 2020
It's a fantastic place that always interests me every time I have been there. I first went 1978 and go every time I come to visit Winnipeg from UK. the last meal I had when I last over in 2020 was breakfast with family in the park cafe. The park also has a family connection my wife cousin Wendy Mackie was parks & gardens manger several years ago. Were else could you get a fresh banana in Winnipeg only from the Glasshouse in Assiniboine Park.

Lovely park with trails to walk
Oct. 2020
I love this park especially the many trails which I access via a trail head to the right of the English gardens. If you want to try to hand feed chickadees, bring your own seed especially black oil sunflower seed, follow the trail right you will see a stump to the left (sometimes people leave seed there) and be patient.

Assiniboine Park is a great park to visit in Winnipeg. Next to the zoo, fun playground for little ones. Great trails to bike, walk, blade or cycle through.

Great Park
Aug. 2020 • Family
My family and I had an excellent time at Assiniboine Park. The English Gardens and Leo Mol Sculpture Garden were lovely. Everything was neat and tidy and appeared to be well taken care of.

A Nice Park
Aug. 2019
I like to come here, mainly when the Assiniboine Park Steam Train is running as I am the one who makes the stickers.
In the 90s, zoo admission was in-expensive and now I don't see a point to going at $22 a person, so I stick to the park itself.
I go to the pavillion, I go to the steam train, I went to the English Gardens and it was pleasant too.
So while the zoo isn't ideal if you're on a budget, and the restaurant is always busy, you still enjoy the day by exploring the park and bringing a picnic with you or some snacks for when you take a break.

Lunch in the park
Jun. 2020
We bought takeout and were celebrating a graduation with lunch in the park. We found a table in the shade and enough space between other visitors. May need a few more garbage cans

A must visit place for families with small children. Get your winter gears for outdoor activites. Try out the restaurant at the duck pond, children friendly menu and good food.

Winter in winnipeg
Mar. 2020 • Family
Excellent time to visit the zoo. The bald eagles are easy to see in their cage. The wolves are active and interact with visitors. I saw the Siberian tiger chase back and forth with a father and daughter on a toboggan. And of course the 10 polar bears are always family favorites.
