Winnie the Pooh, and more art for you
This is a review of the pavilion building at Assiniboine Park, located at the Roblin Road entrance. The pavilion at Assiniboine Park has two floors of art galleries. Currently, there is a display of art and art objects related to Winnie the Pooh. Included are the very special original, and only oil painting of Winnie the Pooh when he was actually a female bear adopted by a veterinarian in The Armed Forces. The bear was taken to the London zoo where AA Milne viewed it, and subsequently wrote the stories of Winnie the Pooh. There is currently a large exhibit of modern Art by artist Ivan Eyre. Admission to both exhibits on two floors is entirely free. This art exhibit is associated with a VAG, that’s the Winnipeg Art Gallery.

    World class
This is truly a world class park! On par with the great parks of London, New York and even Paris. We visited The Leaf, the English Gardens and Louis Mol Sculpture Garden. We also dined at the Park Cafe. All were exceptional!

An enjoyable morning spent at the park
Assiniboine Park is a very large park with seemingly something for everyone. Our visit, in mid-September, was limited to the English Garden and the Leo Moi Sculpture Garden. The English Gardens were beautiful, even so late in the season. There are many walking paths through the gardens and lovely plantings at every turn. So very well laid out and extremely well cared for. Just beautiful! We also enjoyed walking through the Leo Moi Sculpture Garden and enjoying his work. An very talented artist.

    Beautiful Park
The Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg is beautiful! The English Gardens were gorgeous and beautifully manicured, and the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden was equally stunning and peaceful. A must see when visiting Winnipeg!

Great park, saw a mixture of wildlife including deer, rabbits, squirrels, and even a fox! It was a snowy day so everything was white, but still beautiful.

We made a special trip to the park to ride the small scale steam train. Despite the fact the website and sign posted at the train station indicated that the train rain until the end of October at certain times, it wasn't operating. When we called the number listed on the sign, it said that the water had been turned off and the steam engine could no long run for the remainder of the season. It was disappointing.

Always a pleasure to spend time on the river trails along the Assiniboine River, park area, and the Leaf.

Very disappointing. Considering that 130 million was spent on this, it is surprisingly small. We went on a day that was 29 degrees, but it was significantly hotter inside. We were literally pouring sweat and our clothes were soaked. The worst part of it is that a lot of the trees and shrubs looked half dead, and not healthy at all!
I had been looking forward to going with my mom and my aunt from out of town, but we were all very disappointed. The so-called butterfly garden was tiny and we saw three butterflies, but I supposed that might be because little kids were trying to catch them. Despite signs posted, no staff did anything about it. The whole experience too less than an hour and we were taking our time.

I was there with friends from out of town. What an embarrassment!
It was 32 C outside and 43 C inside. No AC!
The Butterfly area was closed due to construction.
There was a very nice Starbucks but nowhere to sit with your coffee except on a bench with the sun beating on you. It was so hot that we couldn’t get out fast enough - and we paid for this.

This whole space is great! Love the outdoor gathering area, with organized activities or free form to enjoy. We had gorgeous weather.
