Last year I saw several performances and loved each of them. Since I was again in Winnipeg I went to see second time nutcracker. Yes it was fabulous but it lost little bit of glamour from last year. Maybe because i went for 1 pm performance so maybe it is not the same crowd like for evening. Still amazing amazing... More

As a regular patron of the ballet and its annual gala I had the profound enjoyment of again attending a private rehearsal with 20 other people. It was an enthralling experience. The dancers are in the midst of a rehearsal and work within feet of those in attendance. Being this close one is able to see the hard work that... More

the dancing was not that great. First half not so good, second half better. The best part of the show was the Ron Paily band - which should not be the case. Too long a ballet - should be max 90 minutes.

The music by the Ron Paley Jazz band was absolutely fantastic. The dancers did an awesome job and I'm sure they enjoyed dancing to the live jazz music. The evening flew by, and before we know it, it was over.

We just returned from a performance of A Cinderella Story. This is a fun ballet for the whole family, with excellent dancing, sets and music. The use of Ron Paley's Big Band adds an enjoyable touch. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it for the third time since I saw the premier several years ago. We have had season tickets for several... More

Definitely one of the best ever nutcracker performances that I have seen. Amazing scene, décor, atmosphere, dancers, simply like a dream, must see

The Royal Winnipeg Ballet and its production of the Nutcracker is a classic family activity in December. I finally had a willing child to accompany me this year, and I am glad we went. The production is delightful. the classsic music of Tchaicovsky but with a Canadian flare, the production begins with an outdoor scene of boys playing hockey and... More

way to much drawn out. I understand wanting to showcase the dancers talents but a few of us almost walked out until the little bears came out. also, i expected better syncronization among the dancers. if the rwb wants to go to the next level, they need to improve alot.

This was my daughters first ballet and mine in many years. We had an absolute wonderful time and my daughter was mesmerized by the whole production. The seats were fantastic, the production was beautiful and expertly put together, and the theater itself was ran very well. The only reason I did not give this five stars is because the venue... It's "Royal" for a reason. You feel like you have been treated royally, to the best presentation possible. My daughter and I have season tickets (while my wife goes to football!). Although this years "Swan Lake" was not as powerful as past performances, the other shows were terrific. When the WSO plays in the pit, you get a double whammy.... More
