Part of "the Forks" development, this buzzing fresh and specialty foods emporium has the feel of an outdoor market, but is actually indoors. Open year-round, it offers an array of ethnic delicacies and crafts, plus four full service restaurants.

Great way to spend an hour or so browsing the shops.

Quite a selection of food offerings as well.

Well maintained.

Attractive grounds as well.

Quaint shopping and Quality Food
Aug. 2021
The market was quaint. There was a wonderful variety of stores to shop from and there was an incredible amount of choices for what to eat there. Everything was reasonably priced and good quality. We would love to visit again.

Not as clean as it used to be.
Jul. 2021 • Couples
Visited The Forks after a few years. Very disappointed to see how dirty and unsanitary the seating area was under the canopy and surrounding areas, garbage and leaves was flying around on the ground. The parking lot was much cleaner. No sanitizers could be found outside. People were eating outside and none of the tables were been cleaned. You would think that a bit more effort could be made especially in a pandemic. Inside was much cleaner. Found the average prices for a meal was around $20, not cheap for a family of 4, especially with parking now $2/ hour.

I walked around a bit however I didn’t buy any food or anything. I like the vibe and the set up. I like there are recycling bins there.

Loyal to Money and Staying #Trendy

I used to love the Forks.
It was a nice place to go and have lunch or look for unique presents when a birthday was drawing near.
It all started when Skinners tenure was revoked and they were sent packing. There went a key place for parents of children who were fussy eaters. Mind you WeinerPeg took over eventually.
Then they got rid of Dragon House on the second floor, I spoke with the woman who ran the shop and she was told that they gave her hardly any notice and now she has to run kiosks to make ends meet.
After then, all the free parking lots were changed over into $3.00 an hour lots which is a major discouragement for poorer people who used to see the Forks as a cheap place to go to for recreation.
I personally won't go to the Forks unless I have to now because it's just upsetting that the Forks has become more of a place for the rich to shop for their bougie wines and over priced clothes and knickknacks, as well as knowing that the nice lady who ran the oriental store was given the boot.
Additionally, the play park behind the Inn at the Forks got a "face lift" if you could call it that by having it substantially downgraded and having very dull, dark, and muted colours.
I used to like the Forks, but now it's a shell of what it used to be.
It's upsetting because while there's places in the area that I want to support, Spaghetti Factory, MTYP, and the Rail Museum, I have to park at the Forks and support the place that no longer means something to me.

Awful

Apparently the forks patio got full they would no longer serve at the common, yet we had a table. Capacity cannot be measured on this so called patio because of everyone coming and going. Won’t be coming back. Bye.

A renewed Winnipeg icon
Feb. 2020
Super trendy since its renovation. A place to see and be seen. Lots of distractions, food, beverages, and history. The only down side is its popularity which results in long lines for beverages/food and challenges finding a place to sit. I'm patient most of the time; so it got five stars as I enjoyed looking around while I waited. Might not be best for kids or those who might be impatient.

The "Commons" is Great!
Mar. 2020 • Couples
The market has lots of unique shopping on the 2nd floor but the commons is the spot. A craft beer and wine bar is in the centre of several unique food kiosks. It's like a highend food cart. Super busy and worth waiting for a seat.

Interesting place
Feb. 2020
This was suggested to us by some locals. It was an interesting place for sure. It was BUSY! There was no place to sit and a long wait for a beverage. We had one drink and left. Maybe one of the stranger places I've been but definitely a place to go check out. Lots of food options. It was definitely a one of a kind place! It was popular so it must be well liked. It just wasn't my thing.

Neat little market
Feb. 2020 • Family
Lots of cool shops and good vendors, plus they had some fun activities going on outside. Just wish we would have went a bit later in the day since not all were open at 10am.
