Good show (wizard of oz) but parking experience ruined the memory. No plan whatsoever to get people out of the park after.

Went with daughter and 11 year old granddaughter to see Cinderella. The venue is great, I’m glad I took advise from another tripadvisor reviewer and brought pillows to sit on and a throw blanket, it was cool by the end of the night.
The show is long so not sure if I would take little ones by the time you get out of the park with traffic; it was 10:30pm.
Line-ups for the women’s washroom during the 20 min intermission was long however it went fast and they added “clean” portables as well.
The performances were great... the Prince was the best singer ... he sounded like a “Disney” singer... my granddaughter said Cinderella was a little to “opera” for her... hehe.
All n all great show and would love to return... if you want a good seats close to the front it’s pricy but fun fun!

Facility is decent but a bit dated.
Production quality for sets, sound, lighting is quite good.
Snacks are expensive. $4 water, $4 tiny popcorn, $3 chocolate bar.
Unfortunately we had one staff member making us uncomfortable. She was continually glaring and scowling over the audience As if waiting for someone she could scold for talking or texting.
Cinderella was mostly silly humour similar to dinner theatre type of fare but it was well done for what it is.
Surrounding park area is great. If you have time make a day of it and walk, picnic, play at the parks, visit the witches hut, Went to Cinderella.

This production is excellent! The performers, the music, the costumes, the sets are all fantastic BUT Rainbow Stage & Impact parking need to fix the parking situation. After today’s matinee, it took 1 hour to exit the parking lot. The parking attendants did not know what to do & they each threw up their arms in frustration as they rotated through their various posts. We were among the first 1/4 to park & Among the last few cars to leave. In over 35 years attending this Winnipeg gem, we have never experienced such chaos in the parking!

If you like theatre and the outdoors, this is the perfect night out for you. Check the weather forecast, as it is open air, but don't let a light drizzle stop you as it is covered. There are no bad seats and ticket prices are reasonable. They run3 or 4 shows each summer so you can pick one you like.

Besides waking up my curiosity about the Winnipeg 1919 Strike, I really enjoyed the choice of talent and music that this performance presented. Also brought out emotional and real feelings about what immigration was all about back then. The staff was wonderful- everyone was happy to be there- from the volunteers to the traffic controllers. Hats off to Rainbow Stage for this wonderful performance and theater experience!

Fantastic performance. If you are anywhere around, get to this. Perfect experience of Winnipeg in this reflection of the time of 1917. Excellent performers. Sound a bit hard to hear at times so I would say be as close to the front as possible.

We recently went to a show at rainbow stage, which we really enjoyed!
My one friend is in a wheelchair and they made it very comfortable for us they put regular chairs where my friend had to sit so we could sit with her (excellent view of the stage)
The bathrooms were accessible for my friend as well.
Getting in and out of the theater was easy with the chair.
The whole experience was wonderful
Thank You Rainbow Stage!

Took our daughter here for Beauty and the Beast! Play was fantastic! Lineups moved quickly during intermission for snacks. Only knock I will always have is that it takes FOREVER to exit the park. Took 45 minutes just to get back onto the road.

I recently attended Winnipeg,s Rainbow stage performance of Beauty and the Beast. I grew up in Winnipeg as a child but had never been to rainbow stage. We attended an evening performance and it had been a beautifull warm day so there were a lot of people in the park taking advantage of its beauty for a picnic before the performance or wade with the children in the splash pad. I was very impressed with the all Manitoba cast and the venue is set up great. I think I will be looking forward to attending rainbow stage for many summer outings to come !

Downtown would be the closest.
Which rows start higher up, odd or even numbered? I'm quite short so I'd like the advantage of a little extra height. Thanks!
Hi there
In the orchestra section, the odd numbered rows are one step higher than the rows in front of them. After the walkway that flows behind row 12, all rows sit on their own step which makes every row higher than the one in front.
