Taking young children should be fun and MTYP does all that it can to make that happen. Getting tickets on line was a breeze. There were enough volunteers to ensure all found their seats. The seats are such that all can see the stage. Everything began on time. The play itself was fun but maybe not the best one we've... More

We had our daughter go through MTYP and now we watch our Granddaughter enjoy the experience as well. Right from the first night of classes she came out bouncing and excited. You don't get to watch what goes on so you have to rely on the smiles and the stories after a class. They all seem to be good. We... More

This was our first time attending the Manitoba Theatre For Young People. The theatre itself was great and ordering tickets was easy. However, the show was mediocre, at best. The actors were good but the stage props and the way the show was done were terrible. It was a bit confusing for the kids because there was only two men... More

We decided to venture out to MTYP for a spring break afternoon and definitely did not regret it! Visible Fictions put on a great show and brought Sherwood Forest to life right before our eyes. If you have a child with a great imagination we would highly recommend this production. As for the theatre itself - the staff was friendly... More

James and the Giant Peach was a creative and very entertaining 90 minutes of fantasy, humour and music. The actors were fabulous and the thought that went into the production was amazing. Our 3 grandchildren were totally enthralled for the entire performance and as adults, my husband and I enjoyed it immensely! Bravo!

We brought our grade 8 students to see Black Violin and they put on one of the best musical performances I've ever seen! Our staff and students loved it! They are innovative, awe-inspiring, talented performers!

After our experience at Rainbow Stage this year, we decided to take the grandchildren to see this play at MTYP. It is much more reasonably priced for a family to attend MTYP than Rainbow Stage. The tickets for the 5 of us were quite a bit less than half of what we had to pay at Rainbow Stage. I had... More

We saw 'the broken ballerina' put on as part of the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. It was the work of volunteers of Springs Church in Winnipeg. They went above and beyond, putting on a really professional looking piece. It wasn't PREACHY but got its point across. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!!

I brought my grade 8 and 9 students here to see The Mask of Zorro! It was a quick-paced, humorous and thoroughly entertaining show! The actors were fantastic and the set was very creative! Casey makes it easy for educators to book performances and you feel welcome as soon as you enter MTYP.

Always a varied programme, something for every age group throughout the season, some shows are fun for adults to see too.
