Although the camp sites might seem a bit close to each other to some of you, we enjoyed our 4-night stay there. Clean facilities, showers that you can use as long as you want with hot water (priceless!), dish-washing stations. Lots of squirrels and bluejays,...More

Went for an afternoon of swimming and hiking. We had a great time digging on the beach and followed up with a hike around the beaver pond. As was mentioned, the bridge wasn’t perfect, but we went over it without worry. We saw lots of...More

We love going to mactaquac park - usually to the beach or some of the hiking trails. We had relatives visiting from out of province and decided to take them to the beaver pond trail. Everything was great until we got on the walking bridge....More

A nice old campground might be better suited for tenting as opposed to campers. No sites have septic and very few have water hookups. The park is lovely with a huge field playground and a small supervised beach. The main beach is a short bike...More

You have to expect bugs when camping but they were very active during our overnight stay. The park staff were fantastic when we had an RV problem - very friendly and helped. Very nice.

Well... I mean, it's a provincial park built on a dam with a giant golf-course. I felt kind of off with this one. I mean, it was still nice. The sites are nice, some are very close to the water and they have tree cover....More

The dam is in danger of collapsing and the road in is reduced to one lane automated traffic light controlled. Before 4 PM this time of year I had to find a quarter to call a posted number for service at one of three pay...More

We enjoyed a sunny early fall hike through the many trails that the park offers. Great trail system that are wide and easy to follow map and markings on the actual trail. We enjoyed looking for frogs in the various ponds and the provided nets...More

We did not like our sites we booked online but were fortunate enough to change sites (were travelling with another couple) & got them side by side. New sites were in a better location & better sites. Most sites in park have a slope to...More
