Great Bang for Buck - in terms of both money and time. You can see almost everything in a few hours, or linger much longer, depending on how fast you go through museums. It is a medium sized gallery but has lots of famous names that we recognized even as fairly casual art enjoyers. Perhaps the most famous being the Dali. For whatever reason I was picturing the Dali as a small painting but it was actually quite large. I particularly liked the works on display by Lawren Harris, Ed Burtynsky, and Tim Okamura's portrait of NHLer Willie O'Ree. There was a room that was entirely work for a local Grade 10 class that was incredibly impressive - particularly the linocuts - and I would not have guess the artists were so young based on the work.

Viewed the sculptures outside because the gallery is closed due to Covid-19 and construction. Online, I was able to see some remarkable pieces and collections from international artists dating back 700 years. I was made aware of the very fascinating “Beaverbrook Dispute” by the wife of the acclaimed author, Jacques Poitras whose book Beaverbrook – A Shattered Legacy chronicled the events surrounding that dispute. I will try and come back one day to see this gallery, but I've said that many times in my travels, But, sure to buy the book...

If you know your British WWII history, Beaverbrook will be familiar to you. He was the benefactor of this excellent museum. There is a good selection of Canadian art, all well presented in several comfortable galleries. There are lots of little gems throughout (a Churchill landscape for example). The museum is a NARM participant as well, so bring your card for free admission.

It was a pleasure to get back in the gallery after the renos. Maud Lewis, Joe Norris, Tom Thomson, Salvador Dali, Allan Syliboy, Chris Pratt, Andy Warhol, Andrew Steeves, and so many more to explore. Great little cafe to grab a sandwich and coffee after.

Their famous Picasso is on loan for a long time, and the rest doesn't warrant the cost of entry. Plan on 45 minutes if you insist on going.

A very good Canadian gallery, group of 7, Emily Carr, Alex Colville, etc. The other permanent displays are very good as well. The Dali is arresting . A lovely way to spend a couple of hours in Fredericton. The location is great as well. Across form the legislature and right on the main drag.

Really nice building with incredible artwork. The Dali exhibit is breathtaking. There was also a Toronto Raptors exhibit when we were there.
There are two levels. Thursday entrance is by donation and the other days it costs $10.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. There is a wide variety of art styles and artists on display. There is something for everyone. Well worth visiting and taking your time to study the art on display. Lord Beaverbrook donated many pieces to the Gallery's collection which has enriched the gallery's permanent collection.. There is a cafeteria on the bottom floor. Mostly pastries along with a few salads and soups. Nice refreshment.

The Beaverbrook is without question one of the finest smaller galleries in Canada, a real gem!. The most recent addition to the gallery is quite stunning and truly enhances the gallery experience. And the coffee shop is very special.
