We are presently travelling Atlantic Canada and stopped off in Fredericton, New Brunwick for a few days. The lighthouse was okay and the town itself is cute and has some trendy cafes and restaurants. But the people (aside from tourists) are a bunch of cold fish. The fish are warmer; They walk around with no expressions on their faces and hardly ever smile or laugh. Some of them looked at us like we just landed from Mars. We went to the library there to use the computers and found a lot of disturbed people in the computer lab and the place is manned by a hefty looking security guard at all times. It was very uncomfortable. The impression we got is that something terribly tragic happened in that town and people look so sour about it. The people lend a very depressing aura to the place and we were happy to leave. If ur travelling in Atlantic Canada do avoid Fredericton unless u desperately need gas or some food and coffee.

My boyfriend and I visited the Lighthouse for burgers this evening. We had heard that the burger was better than anything that is offered at Relish. I was welcoming the challenge.
We arrived and found a table quite quickly. After browsing the menu and waiting ten minutes we decided to head up to the window to order. We weren't sure if we were supposed to wait for a server or order at the window and since the server walked past us 5 times without acknowledging us, we assumed it was the latter.
After twenty mins at the Lighthouse, the server did come by to ask us if we were ready to order. We told her our confusion. After about 25 mins from ordering, we received our burgers. I will say, it was delicious. The patty was thick and juicy. The toppings were plenty. However, the onion frites were on the stale side.
All in all - a little pricey for the $10 per burger. I am glad that I tried it but will likely continue to go to Relish for my burger fix. I would suggest that the staff coordinate better with each other because it just seemed like they didn't know what they were doing, leaving customers awkwardly waiting. This is surprising as it's bring ran by the Crowne Plaza. They cater weddings so I am sure they can manage a patio with a BBQ.

This place needs some work but is headed in the right direction.
The location is awesome. It's a raised patio overlooking the Saint John River. The staff is friendly and the food came quick.
There are a few things that needed though.
All the menus hanging up are really busy and hard to read. They need a big menu somewhere outside people can easily read. There is one hanging behind glass but with the busyness and the small print and glare from the sun it is difficult to read.
We got the burger. They were good but crazy overpriced. $10 is crazy.
I got a side which was a Caesar salad for $4. There was maybe 6 bites. The plate was easily 25% empty.
My wife's burger came out raw. However the staff was happy to fix the situation and it was good once cooked.
The location here is awesome but the prices are high and the food is just ok. It also has beer and ice cream as well as a decent menu selection. There are no fries though or anything deep fried.
I would return for drinks but probably wouldn't eat here again.

I've only ever been to the lighthouse for one reason: Fredericton's AWESOME outdoor summer yoga classes. Every Wednesday evening through July-August a local teacher offers an outdoor by donation class. It's a great way to try something new, and the proceeds support a charity of that teachers choice. I love it.

Setting nice on a deck overlooking the water. Waitress Rachael lovely. The food was horrible. I had the burger and fries. The burger was a dried out ball of tasteless dry meat. The fries were similar to what u would get in a fast food restaurant thin and not really hot. The pulled pork sandwich was swamped in sauce with a generic bun. Coleslaw put on top of the sandwich was soupy. It was a complete waste of calories! Also it took forever to get our meal when the restaurant was not busy. Go to the restaurant for a beer or ice cream. Save your food money for elsewhere.

Classic tourist trap. Some of our group were craving coffee and thought we would also have some lunch. We first were told that they dont sell coffee, and since we could hear other tables negative comments about their food we just decided to have a pop.No glass/straw/ice,just an unopened can ($2.50) dropped down in front of us.Seems very unorganized and mostly a bunch of young staff staring at their phones. This place is right in the tourist zone and must give tourists a poor view of the downtown.

So we go to Fredericton today to take in the Canada day festivities. We stop at the Lighthouse on the Green (snack bar) for a couple of beers and bbq sausages on buns.....$32 later......that's right folks $32 for 2 beer and 2 sausages. To say we were gobsmacked would be an understatement. Moral of this story is if you are going to eat at the Lighthouse on the Green, make sure you have plenty of green in your wallet

I ate the best fries ever here! We had fish and chips, a smoked salmon panino and 2 waters for $20. Great value, beautiful view.

We had to accept that the overall view was ruined the by construction site nearby and were content to take just a few pictures from afar. However, it is one of the best looking lighthouses in the Maritimes and in a year or so, I am sure the whole place will look great.

While in Fredericton we stopped at the Lighthouse along the river. This is not a real lighthouse but a stop that sells ice cream and mac and cheese. You can go up the lighthouse for a fee. There are good views of the river. Washrooms available on site.
