Disgustingly dirty for a public place. I would not want my children in here touching things. Many rooms were closed or in disrepair. Accessible ramp to enter the building, after that- no way. Very disappointing.

Paid $38 this past Saturday to go into the museum with my family. First room to the left, closed completely. Looks like there is a backyard play area? I'm not sure if so but that was also closed off. I think almost every room has atleast one broken exhibit. I understand things wear out but for example the gyroscope spinner didn't work, because the tire is flat...no one can take a minute to pump up the tire? We had a brief moment of fun testing the reflex game till we learned the five button was broken, this theme continued throughout. The signage is all looking pretty dated and honestly half assed looking. It's pretty sad as I feel like this could be a cool place but it needs someone with some passion at the helm again. Unfortunately, I cannot any longer recommend it to visitors.

Science East is in a building with an interesting history. There is not an abundance of exhibits. Yet they are interesting. Adults visiting without children can spend up to one and a half hours at the museum. Due to the hands on exhibits groups with children can stay longer.

Such a great way to spend an afternoon! Staff was super friendly and truly passionate about science!💜
Highly recommend for a fun date, or fun afternoon of learning.
Jail cell was pretty cool too! And their fun outdoor playground.

As someone who lives close by, I've been there a few times and it's always been fun. O mater what age or ability or time of the year they can provide a vivid experience. Even when on section may be closed, they can make up for it, and theres alswy something new when I go.

This privately operated museum/science discovery center says it has about 150 different things for all to do and see. I found a toddlers section, a teen section and many things that both adults and teens can try and learn from. They also have a Jail museum in the basement, as the building was originally a jail. There is a fee but it is reasonable and I feel we got our moneys worth.

We travelled up this way to go tubing, but the weather had other plans in mind for us. So we visited Science East for the day instead. There was a 14 year old girl and an adult. We spent about 2 hours here and tried each of the games and experiments. Some worked better than others and were more interesting than others. We did learn some new things. This building is not accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, etc. It used to be an old jail, and there were historical papers around the building telling us more about that, in addition to artifacts. It is a smaller museum in comparison to most, but still something cool to do in Fredericton. Would recommend to someone who has never been, but wouldn't buy a season pass or necessarily return.

We (adults) spent more than 2 hours at Science East. We tried most of the activities and we did learn some new things and re-enforced knowledge of others things. The activities look like they have been well used and are tired with some pieces missing or not working. It really needs an update. The jail museum was very interesting. Don't miss it while you are there. I would recommend to visit with older children who can read and understand the concepts in the science part of building.
