We brought a variety of ages to Science East. It is not a big venue but it has some interesting things for all ages. It was an old jail that has an interesting past. It held a famous serial murderer, and was involved in a Drug Cartel plot to do a jail break. But it's main purpose is to teach... More

I was here for a child's birthday party. Staff were really helpful, the kids loved the existing activities and those that were laid on for the birthday party.

We have visited Science East several times over the years with our grandkids and always enjoy the experience. The displays are well laid out with clear explanations of the scientific principles involved. We really enjoyed the 3D printer that was set up since our last visit. Science East is located in the old York County jail with the exhibits in... More

Science east transformed a 150+ year old prison into a great place for learning. I feel it helped grow the love of science I have in at least of one of my children. There is even an authentic dungeon in the basement!!!

We visited here on a rainy day with our three kids (3, 6, 9). They enjoyed the exhibits, as well as the historic jail cell in the basement. The Centre is smaller than I'd imagined it to be. My kids didn't seem to mind, however. The only issue I had was that there were no places for us to eat... More

Having been to Science North previously I thought it might be a fun way to kill some time on a rainy afternoon. My husband asked the girl at the front desk if she thought a couple of mid-20 somethings would get something out of the site, and she excitedly said yes, that it would be fun for all ages. We... I have been to a lot of childrens museums and discovery centres both in the states and Canada. This one is just like them. I mean, really... my main complaint is that there is a sense of deja vu - same experiments, same hands on realities. That being said, this is an interesting and cool place to take kids. Especially... Attended in June with my grandson's class. The children had a blast and so did I. Very interesting and the staff is very knowledgeable. I would definitely go again and would like to see the outside area and the cell area.
