Recognized as one of Canada’s top 10 community markets, the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market is the City’s traditional Saturday morning (6am-1pm) gathering spot downtown for fresh and healthy foods, craft, creativity and conversation. With more than 250 indoor and outdoor local suppliers from along the St. John River Heritage Corridor and across the Province, The Market (as it’s known here) is the place to discover seasonal products like fiddleheads and blueberries , ultra-fresh produce, including organics, meats & seafood, cakes & confections, breads, cheeses & homemade jams, fresh-squeezed juices & New Brunswick wines, artisan chocolates, specialty coffees & beans. Ethnic delicacies, from Chinese buns to Lebanese stuffed grape leaves and the City’s famous samosas, are also a big part of The Market tradition. A vibrant space with one-of-a-kind gifts, colourful and quirky, finds include pottery, jewellery, paintings, textiles and lawn sculptures. Breakfast is served up on site, either inside from the restaurant or outside in either of our two Food Alleys where it’s falafel sandwiches and buffalo burgers galore.

Although the popularity of the market means a bit of hunting for close by parking spaces the trip is well worth the effort. Indoor and outdoor vendors provide food and crafts to satisfy anybody's tastes. Of particular note were the spring rolls, the samosas, the BBQ sausages, cheeses and, at Christmas time the vast array of trees, garlands and wreaths.

Doesn't everyone go there Saturday morning! If not you should. Lots of great vendors and lots of fun.

Made a special trip to Fredericton to attend this market (generally go to Kingston Market) and was a bit disappointed. There were few fruit and vegetable vendors. Market was very crowded with little space to walk around easily. The usual arts/crafts/cheese and bakery items. Only WOW piece was the food alley but they were out of poutine gravy (a friend... Needless to say, this event is every Saturday until 1 and is the centrepiece of Fredericton. It lasts all year long and draws a huge crowd. Great place to go for local food, homemade gifts, food vendors and everything else. If this market ever ended, I'm genuinely worried what would happen to Fredericton

Always crowded but worth it. Everything you would expect from a market plus more. If you are a samosa fan, this is where you will find a great locally made selection.

It is a nice place, the vendors are friendly, and the food is great. It is easily accessible by foot or bike from the city center. Be wary for peddlers (people who buy their produce from elsewhere and pass it off as "local") and always ask the source :) Enjoy !

Love this market. Great food. Interesting vendors and a comforting vibe. Only small negative is that it can be quite and difficult to Navigate with a small child.

Its usually very busy during the weekends with lots of vendors. It was not that bad of place to try. I was there to try and find more local produce options, but it didn't really have more options than regular grocery stores though. However, I would definitely recommend this place if you are free on weekend mornings though.

Lots of variety. Open every Saturday from about six am to noon. Hard to find a place to park but once you do it's worth it.

My husband and I rode our bikes to this market from our RV park (pretty ride). We bought 2 whole cooked lobsters, a package of 4 ribeye steaks (these ended up being okay, not great), 1 lb lobster filet, and some veggies, all for the exchange rate of $60 USD!!!! I even double checked the receipt to make sure they... More
