An entire infrastructure around a coast that would normally bring a vehicle up. Parking in perfect condition, free parking to access the hill or the small coast concerned. A whole village built around with swimming pools, outdoor games, restaurant, and of course souvenir shops. Warm welcome in these

Our trip to Magnetic Hill in Moncton, NB, was mind-blowing! As we reached the spot and put our car in neutral, we couldn't believe our eyes – it felt like magic as our car rolled uphill on its own! The optical illusion is incredible, and we were captivated by the experience.

The best part? The whole visit doesn't take long at all, making it a perfect stop during our road trip. After enjoying the gravity-defying wonder, we headed to Wharf Village for some fresh squeezed lemonade and to discuss the physics behind the illusion – it added an extra layer of fun to the day!

But the excitement didn't end there; we found out that the zoo and Magic Mountain were just a stone's throw away. So, we extended our adventure and had a blast exploring the nearby attractions.

Overall, Magnetic Hill is a must-see attraction in Moncton. It's a thrilling and memorable experience that will leave you in awe of the optical illusion. Combine it with a trip to Wharf Village and the nearby attractions, and you have the perfect recipe for a fantastic day!

If you come here, do not bring your hubby to the "hill"
Kids would think it was fun but unlikely an adult male
I think the video of him complaining the $6 fee was more hilarious then the hill itself.
And when we went, there were NO cars

I thought there would be more stores at the Wharf village. It had at most 3 stores, a refreshment place and a restaurant. That's about it.

We did not go to the zoo

It's fun. I went at around 6PM and the gates were just open, I guess you only have to pay for the busy hours. After I went in, I only saw a couple more cars, so that should be the trick! Oh, one of them was a Mennonite bus, I guess they felt more comfortable having it pretty much only to themselves.

It requires some imagination, it's not that craziness people say, but I had fun. We did it about four or five times, then we said: Okay, I think I get what they mean.

this was a great stop that was interesting. Everyone kept doing it wrong. After you pay the 5.00 fee you drive on the right side of the road to the white post on the left side of the road then go down that left lane backwards with foot off the break and gas and it definitely feels like you are being pulled even though you aren't? everyone else we observed did not know what to do and drove down it the wrong way LOL so they would not get to experience the whole point of this place. The signs are clear what to do and the attendants tell you just follow directions !! worth the stop and fee

Never been to the East Coast before. A trip of a lifetime! Flew Porter to Moncton. Rented a car! Saw all the attractions in PEI, drove the Cabots trail in Nova Scotia, took the ferry across from PEI to NS. Visited many towns along all the coast lines. Went to New Brunswick & took the via rail to Montreal from the starting point in Moncton, then home to Union Station!

OK, I pretended to be fooled by the impression of rolling back with the car in neutral purely because I did not want to let down my other half who organised our 3000 km Toronto to PEI passing through so many amazing places; I guess scientist me subconsciously tried to understand the logic here, however as we arrived late Sept, we did not pay any entry fee and also checked the 'shopping village' where unfortunately shops were closing because apparently the owner was getting too greedy and wanted to take the shops for himself. This area is highly commercialised now since the 1970's with lots of hotels, restaurants and many Tim Hortons on a very short stretch of road. What next? A new Vegas?

We went to magnetic hill park to experience magnetic hill. When we got to the hill itself, it was an absolute cluster F of vehicles going in all directions. They tell you to move over to the left lane beside the white post. Vehicles were trying to exit in the same lane. While we were waiting our turn, the guy in front of us got out of his vehicle and started yelling at us to put our vehicle in neutral and start rolling backwards even though it wasn’t our turn. Once we had our turn, it wasn’t what it’s cracked up to be - in our opinion. You’re rolling backwards down a slight grade to gain momentum to go upgrade? We got frustrated and left.

If anyone from the park Is reading this review, please take note that there needs to be staff coordinating traffic in this area or more signage in place in the area to direct people in lanes and where to wait their turn. As someone else stated in their review, it’s only a matter of time before there’s a fender bender.

I’m sure the rest of the park is a great attraction, but until this park sorts out this traffic coordination issue, don’t waste your money and time on this.

TERRIBLE
Waste of time and $6
The "illusion" is a big scam
We drove 15 minutes from downtown Moncton to witness what the documentation said is amazing. When we arrived, other visitors in their cars were also wondering what the spectacle is supposed to be.
AVOID and save your time
(however I would guess that if you are going to the water slide, zoo or rides, then these attractions may be worth it)

I had been here as a kid and then with my husband years ago so I was curious to see if it still was as amazing as i remembered - and yep it was. We brought two friends with us and we had to do the hill about 10 times with each of us in the drivers seat and then each took turns watching from outside the car. Even after reading the story we had to back and try it again. Don't miss this very fun and confusing place.
