- HighPockets21Shediac, Canada91 contributionsGood place to spend some time with grandsonSpent a couple hours here with my grandson. We both enjoyed ourselves with a variety of interactive displays. We learnt a bit about the history of Moncton as well. I was not impressed by the front desk person at the start however as we were overcharged and not directed to where the starting point was - not overly helpful that is fof sure.Thank you for taking the time to share your kind review of Resurgo Place! We are happy to see that you and your grandson enjoyed your visit and the various interactive displays. We strive to offer welcoming customer service at the front desk and will be sure to pass the message along. Hope to see you again soon!Written April 3, 2020This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited December 2019Written February 10, 2020
- VladimiramirelaMississauga, Canada1,872 contributionsVery InterestingEven if we were only passing through, the youngster at the reception desk was very helpful with a lot of information, especially about the interior architecture of the place. Which is amazing as they incorporated the portal of the original hundred years old City Hall in the existing modern structure. Regretfully, we had not enough time to stay much longer, however, I highly recommend the place. Thanks for sharing your impressions! The former City Hall Façade featured in our entrance lobby is certainly a show stopper. We love sharing about its story!Written August 29, 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited July 2022Written July 18, 2022
- Kim A1 contributionPleasantly surprised! So impressive! I learned so much about Moncton and I've been living here for quite a few years. The displays were very well done, staff friendly and helpful, and the museum itself quite easy to navigate. The amount of things to see and read in the heritage gallery was unexpected. I especially enjoyed learning about Moncton's shipbuilding history. The curation of the permanent collection was thoughtful and engaging. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your impressions! It's never too late to go and discover your own town's local history. Very thorough displays on the history of the area I spent more time there than I expected. Allow at least 2-3 hours.

Such a great place to visit! Me and my two children, 9 and 6 years old spent over two hours here today and they were interested and engaged the whole time! The man working was so kind and great with the kids and did a fantastic presentation on air and the kids even got to ride on a homemade hovercraft! So much to see and do, we will definitely visit again when back in Moncton!

Resurgo Place has been described as “a state-of-the-art facility where Moncton heritage, technology and discovery intersect”. I was here at opening but because I was told to be at the Tidal Bore early (my next stop), I had to rush through the museum. It is worth seeing; but be aware of the Covid-19 protocols in place. Great service from Sophie (Tidal Bore) and Joanne (Gift Shop). I found these sections very interesting - Commerce and Industry, Police, Children’s section (I am a little bit of a child), Interactive exhibits, “Those Trains”, Fun facts and so much more. Next time, I am going to plan it better. Resurgo Place houses both the Moncton Museum and the Transportation Discovery Centre

Went with my 6 year old daughter and her friend. We had a great time exploring the whole museum. The staff was very friendly. The girls were very curious about all the old artifacts. Honestly, I don’t know who had more fun, the kids or me! Highly recommend.

This museum has a very interesting local history section, that is well worth visiting.
In the science / transport interactive part of the museum again some interesting information and displays, unfortunately at the time we were there a children’s party was going on. No problem with that, great opportunity to get hands on, only issue was they weren’t being supervised for a chunk of the time and were running around playing hide and seek. Basically meant we didn’t spend as much time as we would have liked in this section. Could also hear them when we were upstairs.

A great museum and discovery centre. Lots of hands on stuff for kids to do and learn with. Admission rates are a tad high, but there is lots to see and do. They have great summer camps for kids, our grandson just finished 2 weeks there and he loved it. It was through Snapology, a really cool robotics lego hands on program. Resurgo has senior rates of $8 and on Wednesdays it is 50% off. There is a transportation discovery centre also, very interesting. I would recommend this place to everyone, young and old alike.
