About
Reversing Rapids, where the 700km St John River meets the Bay of Fundy. Step out on the SKYWALK to witness the greatest impact on a river in the world can be seen. Twice each day the tide rises 28 ft and forces the St John River to reverse direction four times. Check the tide tables to view one of three distinct tides: low tide, slack tide, or high tide. We look forward to having you visit!

Great Views - Timing Is Everything
Oct. 2019
The Saint John Skywalk and Reversing Falls are located along Bridge Rd. We got here through the Big Pink Bus hop on hop off tour. There is a restaurant and gift shop here as well. My visit here was on October 3, 2019.

After having lunch at the Reversing Falls restaurant, we went over to the register to get our pass from our cruise excursion converted to a ticket (wristband) to go up to the Skywalk. The regular price for this is $15 Canadian. After that, we took the elevator up to the Skywalk. Once you get up there, there is a room where you can watch a video about the reversing falls and runs on a 12 minute loop.

After watching the video, we went out to the Skywalk. There were some great views of the river. At the time we were there, it was between tides. However, you could see the direction of the river was going upstream into the river, not out. You could still see the waters starting to rush into the river. There are several spots on the Skywalk where you can look down to the river as well.

Overall, the views from the Skywalk were neat. This is something you don't get to see everyday (unless you live there). There is something to be said about just looking around and taking in the sights and sounds of the river. It was a bit relaxing to just look over and see the beauty the river provides. As others have said, try to time it out based on the current tide cycles. If your travels take you this way, this place is worth checking out.

Nice video to explain the rapids
Oct. 2019
You get to walk out over the water on glass floor panels. Also a video to explain the reversing rapids. Food and gifts if you want them.

Don't bother

You can see the reversing rapids/falls from many vantage points in the vicinity so there is absolutely no point in paying the stupidly high prices to stand on this platform. It was on our list of places to visit but we backed off when we saw what was on offer.

This offers an amazing viewpoint!
Oct. 2019
The photos taken from here will provide visual memories for years to. Yes it is a bit pricy (seniors only pay 12$) at 15$, but when I consider we paid $69 per person (price off our cruise ship and the only option) to be on the Hop On Hop Off bus to get here, no questiion we would give it a try. Just a very unique view point! One day we must visit here with several days to be able to see both high and low tides

Good view, VERY POOR price
Sep. 2019
Came here because it was part of the hop-on hop-off tour. This is basically an overhang perched atop a very expensive restaurant that allows you to look at he reversing falls through 3 glass floor panels. The idea is decent but it is nothing special. It was cool to experience but if I had to do it again I would not waste the money. This is an attraction that cost way more than it is close to being worth.

Took friends from the West Coast, not too impressed with the $15/head charge. Would make far more sense to Have the admission included in the meal, would benifit both the restaurant and the attraction, But the c City is broke so guess they won't listen

Want to do something on vacation that you’ll talk about for years? Go to the reversing falls at the Skybridge. It’s amazing.

Very cool for a first time visit, but overpriced in my opinion

I feel as though it was one of the major highlights we were looking forward to during our 1 day (only a few short hours) visiting here. We were docked for only a short time with our cruise ship, but accessed this stop via the Pink bus hop on/hop off. We purchased admission, but I felt as though the price paid was not worth the little amount of time we spent here. The short video and walk-out platform were neat and engaging, but no more than an hour is needed at this attraction. The price should be less, or there should be something else included with the price they are charging to see the view from the Skywalk.

Hugely disappointing and overpriced.
Aug. 2019 • Family
To be honest you can see the falls from multiple viewpoints from either side of the river, that give a much better perspective than the limited options from the Skywalk.

Inside, other than the view you get a 12/13 minute video which give some basic details (all of which and more are available on the information boards on the harbour passage walk) before it becomes a promotional video for Saint John.

Hugely overpriced for what it is. As a family with two teenagers, this has been the most expensive ticket (after tax was CAD 69 for the four of us) all holiday and provided a fraction of the entertainment versus all of the rest. Yes, this place is more expensive than the Acadian Village and Kings Landing where you can easily spend several enjoyable hours.

This place is not worth (half) the cost.

Save your $ if you are not eating dinner there

You can get almost the same view without paying to enter the walkway. You will want to stop in the area if you have time while visiting Saint John, but no need to spend much time. I will admit, we were there at low tide so there wasn't the reversing falls component to watch. Between the Skywalk and the restaurant next door, there are some free stairs to walk down in you want to get close
