The tour guide was very informative and funny. She answered all questions we had and I learned a lot I didn't know about brewing beer. Everyone there including the servers at the end of the tour, were very nice. I think I'll be drinking more Moosehead beer in the future. Don't miss this one!

Excellent tour. Great explanation of the history, nice sampling of various beer. Our tour guide was funny and explained things clearly.
The only problem was getting into the facility. I arrived 10 minutes before the start time (6pm) and the doors were locked with no attendant inside. There was, however, a couple inside be they could not unlock the door as it required a passkey. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't pouring rain. I then walked over to the tap room and was told the tour guide was just heading over to start the tour, so back I went. Not sure why the main door was locked, especially with the weather being so bad.

I have done several brewery tours. This was the only one that really felt authentic. The walk through the older areas of the facility and the explanations of the extensive conveyor systems to make maximum use of the space were interesting. Ashley our guide had lots of stories of the trials and tribulations of the Owen’s family as the independent brewery grew and found its market

is the brewery far from where the cruise ships come in ?

It would be about a 5 or 10 minute cab ride to the brewery. It is within walking distance from Reversing Falls if you were to do the Hop on Hop off double decker bus service.
