Lively and fun!

Beautiful and lively market. Lots of friendly vendors, food, drink, artisan stuffs, and alcohol. We really enjoyed our walk through and the little pop up bar in back. I’d recommend about 30 minutes to see it all… more if you want to grab a drink!

Worth a brief visit.

Nice open interior with a lot of character. Too bad some places close way too early in the day that serve food and ice cream.

Very interesting place to visit

I visited this market with my wife. It was very nice to see all the crafts people were selling. We bought paintings from a lady who was selling water colored versions of sketches her husband had done. She was such an adorable person! She gave us many additional gifts for free and a discount on the painting. We also bough orange essential oil from an old British guy and a hummingbird made of cristal from another girl. It's surprising the many beautiful things people create.

Great Market

It was a little sparse today due to the pandemic, but this is a fantastic market. One of the most historic, and my favourite east of Montreal.

Cool Market

Decently sized market with plenty of vendors! Loved the historic venue with the high ceilings. It was extremely quiet when we arrived; however we were also visiting early in the morning in February, so I imagine it would be more inhabited during the summer. We stopped at Slocum & Ferris for a breakfast bagel — wonderful bagel and hash browns for a reasonable price. I would definitely visit again.

Nice Market But....
Feb. 2020
I have always loved the City Market, Fresh Vegetables and local meat. I loved all the vendors there! Unfortunately many vendors are gone and have not been replaced, Baleman's was a staple there for many years, when they left there was nobody to replace them. The Saturday market has lost a lot of good vendors as well. I am hoping that it will be the jewel it once was....I would still recommend visiting for those who have never experienced the Market, as it is rich in history.

Nice Market

The market was very nice but much smaller than I thought it would be. Had a large variety of items to buy and some food areas.

Love the fresh produce & friendly service but...

I shop here for most of my groceries & homey enough to build great Friendships however, can't help but wish there were booths/Vendors providing all plant based goods such as baking goods, sweets, snacks & meals because many do attend for lunch but in need of supporting all plant based because of cross contamination & msg. Even though there may be a few options yet it would be just fantastic to see a few dedicated to being 100% Vegan. Veganism is all about stopping global warming, saving lives, planet healing & so much more, Thank you!

A great popular market

Heard about this market in CBD of town and was not disappointed. Very busy due to a couple of cruise boats in port. Great range of eateries and general attractions including food market selling fish, meat etc. and appears well supported by locals, which is always a good sign.

Great indoors farmers' market
Sep. 2019
Even on a weekday, this place was busy. Produce looked awesome. Not inexpensive, but considering the area, a good value. Tremendous diversity of products from specialized chips to fresh meats, appealing baked goods, local candy favorites, honey, crafts, and nice quality souvenirs. It reminded me of a bigger indoor farmers market in a Buffalo, NY when I was much younger. This was like a great rip back in time. Ow wonderful to see a thriving, almost festive venue.
