New Brunswick's Festival Place welcomes you to enjoy a taste of Market Square's finest as you shop, eat, play, and explore! Open from first coffee 'til last call, seven days a week, year round, we are proud to act as the cornerstone of Uptown Saint John! It's the perfect place to shop, dine, relax or play. We've saved the best for last, though: one of our finest features, the Boardwalk! Head out to our waterfront patio for some delicious food from our world-class chefs and a refreshing pint of Moosehead, and any other favourites to whet your whistle!

Not a great mall, but if you're in the area anyway, a decent place for a stroll. The statues near the entrance provided a fun photo op for our party of six who had just come off a cruise ship. This was a place we...More

Breezed through this property on our way to the Loyalist House. A little local mall with a library, housing the New Brunswick museum, some restaurants and a Tim Hortons. Has a cute little inner courtyard with fake fall flowers and tables. Fine spot to rest...More

Nice big open space for a cold or rainy day. A variety of events and stores as well as a good library but just nothing to really set it apart from other urban malls. Several restaurants but little to offer in fast food.

We're not shoppers and we're convinced that Tim Horton's owns Canada. It's as ubiquitous as Starbucks in the states. SO, yes, there's some food and yes, there are some shops, but the only reason to go there is to go to the New Brunswick Museum....More

Great market with fresh food and lots of local craft vendors. Also numerous places to eat or have a snack or a treat!

There's a lot of foot traffic and it seems to be in the heart of the tourist area, uptown in St. John. It's worth a look around - even though I'm not into shopping for shopping's sake. The carved wooden totems on the corner make...More

I live here, so Market Square is familiar. It used to be a much more exciting and vibrant place than it is today. That being said, it is a neat place if you are a visitor to the city.

Wander around for fresh vegetables, local crafts and maple syrup products. They accept US dollars and credit cards. Very friendly people and a great place to experience local culture

Since this was right across from our hotel and the weather was iffy we took a stroll through. There was no reason for us to linger. We would have gone into the museum but it was too late.

many fresh vegetable stands & snack counters in a unique setting with historical interests. Busy at lunch with downtown office workers & also tourists and if a cruise ship is there it becomes packed.
