New Brunswick's Festival Place welcomes you to enjoy a taste of Market Square's finest as you shop, eat, play, and explore! Open from first coffee 'til last call, seven days a week, year round, we are proud to act as the cornerstone of Uptown Saint John! It's the perfect place to shop, dine, relax or play. We've saved the best for last, though: one of our finest features, the Boardwalk! Head out to our waterfront patio for some delicious food from our world-class chefs and a refreshing pint of Moosehead, and any other favourites to whet your whistle!

Facades of the square have been enclosed by an over-arching roof to provide mall-like access. The St John Library and New Brunswick Museum are the two star attractions. We visited while attending a free 80s rock concert nearby.

We come here every year as a family. There are so many things to see and do in the market square. We always bring food and feed the pigeons. That's a highlight. Check out the sculptures and shops. The boardwalk is always beautiful.

At market square you can get hand made crafts, fruits or vegetables or have a seat and have brunch at one of the little cafes that dot the market.

Nice building, entrances to all the eateries that are available from the boardwalk side. Not much going on. A few boutiques selling overpriced wares, souvenirs. etc.
