Great stop during our day in Saint John
Oct. 2019
Excellent collection of local law enforcement history. Guides are retired Saint John Police, so you get a personal and informative look at the history from those that actually were in the police service. Well worth a visit.

Loved the local people

Please stop here they are wonderful people and a nice short stop. They are all volunteers and are passionate about their history. You can even get a picture behind bars! They only take donations and ask that you sign their guest book. Very easy to find when getting off cruise ship.

Saint John Police Force Museum
Aug. 2018
This is an excellent place visit to see how this police force has changed over the years with many displays and even an old cell door. There is even a restored Volkswagen Bug that was used as an actual police car and was displayed by Volkswagen in a brochure for the bug.

Nice piece of police history

We went by and decided to go in. My husband is a retired policeman and they discussed different things with him and also gave him a Saint John police badge.

Fun look into the past!
Jul. 2018 • Couples
We visited the museum on Canada Day weekend. We knew the location was open because the VW was on the street!

It is a small gem, with a powerful AC system (much needed during the heatwave). Lots of well laid out exhibits. It was fun to see all the banned weapons!

The volunteers were knowledgeable. Museum entry is by donation, and you have to go down a set of stairs to enter.

Small but well organised Museum
Sep. 2017 • Friends
From the cruise ship you can easily walk uphill and within minutes you are in Prince William Street. Further down to the far end at No 56 you'll find this Museum. You'll notice a VW Beetle in front of this Museum which used to be a patrol car for the traffic police at the time. In this Museum there is a good display of items such as police uniforms, badges, photographs and equipment. In the corner there is an iron gate to serve as a prison. Visitors take photos behind bars!!! This Museum consists of a large single room but fully equipped with police items. Entrance is FREE of charge but donations are appreciated. The Museum is run by knowledgeable ex-police officers as volunteers.

A nice little museum
Sep. 2017 • Couples
While visiting Saint Johns on a cruise, my wife and I visited the Police Museum. They had a nice display of uniforms and police equipment. The museum is one large room with there displays and photographs. The museum is manned by volunteers. We are both retired police officers, so we like to show our support for other departments when we are able. There is even a VW Beetle that was used a patrol car out front. Entry is free, requesting a donation.
