About Able Sail/Handi-voile
Able Sail/Handi-Voile Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing sailing opportunities on Shediac Bay for persons of all ages with any category of disability in the Southeastern New Brunswick region. It operates from the last week of June to the end of August out of the Shediac Bay Yacht Club, located at 168 Pleasant Street, Shediac, NB. Two programs are available, Recreational Sailing Program and a Learn to Sail Program. In Recreational Sailing the person with the disability can bring up to three family of friends along for the outing. We sail 6 times per day, 7 days per week. Disability can be mental, emotional, intellectual or physical.

Every summer, I participate! It is an amazing organisation that brings so much joy to it’s clients. Definitely a highlight of my summers. Being able to sail and feel the ocean wind makes me the happiest. Thank you very much! ☺️
